What makes me a in individual is myself. I don’t focus on trying to fit in with other people. Why fit in when you can just be yourself. It’s important to be an individual because if you try to be like yourself you will end up forgetting who you really are. There is no reason to be like someone your not. What makes me an individual is not trying to be like anyone else. I focus on me and only me unless someone needs help. I see no reason to be a different person unless they are a role model. “Don’t be a follower be a leader”. If you are trying to be like someone else why not put all that effort to become a leader. So people can look up to you without them trying to be you. You doing that will make them become an individual. I play football even though it’s a team effort people try to be a like someone else. Why do that if you can be yourself and accomplish your goal in the sport. Why not try to be a captain. Why not try to get others to be a good person and make good decisions. All of that is apart of being a individual in life. Just be yourself because you don’t know what you can be missing out when you’re not being yourself. If you want to be like a person who is bad and think that they are cool bullying other people stealing stuff, what good does that make you. It will tear you down when you find out the kind of person you’ve become. And if you don’t like the way you, because you think it will be bad then look up to someone who is a leader.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Eli. You shouldn't try to fit in with others. If your being yourself what is the purpose of fitting in with your piers. Don't be a follower be a leader is a great example you put in there. Be yourself and your are the leader. If you aren't yourself you are being the follower. I also liked that you talked about everyone trying to be like someone else in football. This is a good example because it is true everyone wants to be the best player out there but if you are yourself you can still be the best player. Don't try to be like your best friend doing all the plays he does make your own and do it better. Thus, I agree with what you said Eli.
DeleteAn individual means to be yourself isn't of what others want you to be. The things that make you an individual is your personality, how your appearance is, and how you act like. To be an individual you have to be different than everyone else and you have to be someone who you want to be instead of being the person you try to be. The things that I like to do is dance, play video games, go running, fishing, and basically anything else I feel like it. These things are things that I like to do and what I want to do as something fun to do. Everything I do is with my family and sometimes I do it for myself and no one else. I am a very individual person when I have to be isn't of be a follower I am a leader.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see someone who doesn't want to do the things they are doing but they are being made to it upsets me because I know they don't want to do those things. I believe it's great to be an individual I think everyone should be individual. I believe this because when I was younger I tried so hard to be with the people I thought were cool until the day I saw another kid get picked on so I vowed to myself that day I wouldn't be like those kids and I will always help protect the ones who didn't make that connection in their head yet. This is what being an individual means to me think about what it means to you.
That's true you should always be yourself. There's no reason to be like someone else because you are you for a reason. You were not made to be like someone else. You were made to be yourself. You never know what being like someone is. They can be bad or not mentally smart. So what you said is right always try to be an individual
DeleteI like being an individual because I am better off that way. The only thing that makes me an individual is myself. I like doing what I want to do because it is me. One of the thing I do as an individual is that I play basketball for fun. I like playing basketball when I go to my friends house or when I practice by myself. I am also in the boy scouts. I like being in the boy scouts because it is kid led. Everyone has a role in what they have to do in the troop. I also like being a boy scout because I like the feeling of doing community service. It is an awesome feeling knowing I get to help someone with whatever the case is. The last reason I like being a boy scout is because of all the fun camping trips we go on. We just got back from D.C. and in the summer we are going to sea base in Florida.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely think it is important being an individual. If your not going to be an individual I think it would be a lot harder to proceed in life going forward. I think it's very important that you be an individual because it shows who and what you are. I have learned this at an early stage. I found out that I was hanging around the wrong people which made me do stupid things so I got in trouble. Now that I don't really hang with them as much, I am doing much better in school and not getting in trouble as often. Therefore, I think it is important because it shows who you really are and not the person you are pretending to be.
I agree with you. being an individual shows who you really are and not who you are pretending to be. I think its nice that you like to just do community serves and just helping people out. that you don't pretend to be someone your not and to show that you like to actually be nice and help people.

DeleteThere is only one of you in the world, nobody anywhere in the world is exactly like you. Everyone is an individual. What makes me an individual is I really like sports, but I also love fashion. This makes me an individual because most girls that like fashion only like to do very girly things and not like sports. I am totally different I love to play sports and just mess around. Playing sports has helped me make friends my teammates and I are very close. Most of them think it is funny that I am good at sports and I love to shop and learn about fashion. Most of my teammates only care about sports and school. Also their whole lives are taken up by sports every day. I too love my sports and I have practice for one on my sports every day and sometimes I have two practices in the same day for different teams. During my free time I like to learn about fashion or make up. During school I like to draw things and clothe designs in my notebook. When I’m at home I like to practice doing peoples makeup and buying new products. When my softball team has a fancy party or out to dinner I like to teach them how to do their makeup and hair. Doing this helps me practice what I love to do and help myself share my interest with other people. This make me an individual because I like two very opposite things. ReplyDeleteThere is many definitions of what being an individual means. The dictionary meaning says being an individual means single: separate. Being an individual means to me is just be yourself and not what others want you to be. You don’t have to follow the crowed and be popular. Just do what you like and what really makes you happy.
I see where you are coming from with your analyzes on being an individual. However I have to disagree in the sense that they is people who are the same as you and in my opinion those are the people always trying to become the exact copies of the person they idol. But any way nice response.

And individual in my eyes is someone who does stuff because they want to, not because a lot of other popular people are doing it. An individual is someone that is them self. I think that there is many things that make me an individual. I play baseball, basketball and I used to play football. I have or do all of these sports because I want to, not because other people are or are telling me too. I also do these sports because I want to stay out of trouble and not with the wrong group of kids. Another thing that makes me and individual is my personality. I act the way I want to. Im not like some of the idiots in our school that think its funny and will make them popular for getting in trouble when in reality it makes you look stupid. I think it is important to be an individual. If you are not yourself and also not an individual, then no one will ever know the real you. If you are not an individual and yourself you will never know or find out hobbies that you like. I think it is one of the most important things in life to be your self and be an individual. Most people as kids want to be popular so they do stupid things that make them popular or even play certain sports or dress differently to do so. Overall there is many reasons I am an individual. DeleteIf you search up the word individual on google, Bing, etc… one of the first definitions you will find “is to have a special and unusual quality that is easily seen,” however I disagree with that interpretation. I say this because my own definition is a quality that makes you who you are. For example, I am an individual this is because I do, say , and make the actions that make me who I am, who I was, and who I will be, and it can be known by many or can just be kept to myself. Some qualities that make me who I am are my all-time favorite hobbies which are to collect shoes and sell them. This may sound unusually but that is one big quality of me. That is what makes me an individual.
ReplyDeleteI think it is very important to become an individual. This is because in life money, shoe etc… doesn’t matter in the long run. For example, I can collect every shoe in the world but when I die “knock on wood,” every shoe wouldn’t matter it would be my reflection of my individuality on the people in my life. For example, In my school and I am sure in yours that we always see groups of so called friends that always are trying to be an exact copy of the person next to them. For example you can be in a group and have a name to classify you but not determine who you are as an individual. That is what I think being an individual should be in my opinion and why it is so ideal to be one.
The aspects of my personality are what make me an individual. I have various hobbies. I enjoy writing several genres of fiction- science fiction, horror, mystery, realistic fiction, satire, historical fiction, and thriller (not the Michael Jackson song) stories and novels. I also enjoy writing nonfiction. I like writing persuasive essays because I am excellent at arguing. Additionally, I enjoy typing explanatory writing about topics that intrigue me.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to having a passion for writing, I like to read stories and books. I am fascinated the most by science fiction and horror stories. My third favorite genre is Satire.
Another hobby of mine is music. I play the bass guitar and I love listening to bands.
An additional interest of mine is Science. It stimulates me to learn about how things work and such. I am fascinated by Astronomy and Biology as well as other fields.
I also like history because I like to learn about certain events and then notice patterns. Looking at the past helps to predict the future, which is useful.
I am also interested in Philosophy. I enjoy pondering deep questions and really delving in deep to the heart of philosophical issues. I question everything and everything is up for debate, even my own ideals.
Another hobby of mine is Art. I like looking at it and appreciating it and I enjoy drawing.
I think it is most definitely important to be an individual. If one is only concerned with conforming and being accepted on a superficial level, what good does one actually do for others or for themselves? None in actuality.
I characteristics that form me as an individual in this world are dependent on my actions in life. The choices I make can impact my life and other people's lives around me. Hobbies, sports, decisions, friends, family can all decide on what make you an individual and give you your own personality. Most people stick with a crowd to fit in or to think they're better than everyone else around them. I like who I am and the individual I choose for my life now and in the future.
ReplyDeleteSports can determine your athleticism or your love for studying can improve your academics in school and life. People don't realize how much their decisions can affect their personality or other people's personalities. I feel like it's better to stand out than just blend into a crowd around you. Be who you want to be and not what society pressures you to do and who to be in life. Don't let people pressure you into doing something you wouldn't normally do on your spare time. If you don't stand out in life, people will just recognize you as that average person that just sits in the crowd. On the other hand, if you did something special you'd get recognized for an action or choice you've made.
Stand out and don't follow other people especially if you're aware it's not the right thing to do. Don't let society judge you poorly and have that affect your life onward. Don't care what others think about you and just ignore them. Being an individual means "of a particular person" which means something particular that makes you stand above the average crowd. Do what you want with your life and don't let others lead your own life for you, be and do whatever you want to in your long life ahead.
i like being independent and being an individual. i like being independent because i like to stay away from all the bad people and i like to stay away from trouble. the things that make me an individual are my choices. i can chose weather to fit in and try to be like the cool kids or i can be myself and do my own thing. thats something i rather do. i rather be myself instead of trying to fit in and get my self into trouble.the sports i play makes me an individual. sure football is a team sport, but as long as football is keeping me out of trouble im fine with that. some of my hobbies are fun and some are not so fun. i like to play football. i stay inside sometimes and play my xbox. that keeps me out of trouble. it may not be fun to be an individual but it could keep you out of trouble. i think it is important to be an individual. as an individual you can make your choices by yourself. instead of listening to other people and caring about what other people think. i tnink its best to be an individual. i dont care what people say about me being an individual. as long as im happy and staying out of trouble i can care less about what people say. being individual also means im independent. i like to be alone and i like peace and quite. yes i love my family but my family is loud and they yell too much. this is what makes me an individual.
