What i think the quote means is we cant go look for our destiny we have to create it. What he is trying to say is that no one is going to tell you your destiny. Your not going to find it written in stone or stamped on your forehead. Your destiny is created by your actions and choices and what you do with your life like if you do a lot of community serves and help others your destiny will be bright. But if you do nothing and are mean to others and just sit home and watch tv your not going to have a very great destiny. So do something to make it great help others volenter go learn something new like take instrumint lessons and find a hobby and do it alot get good at it and become famous. Then you get payed big bucks buy a nice house awesome cars and stuff. Remember if your good at something never do it for free. Your destiny is what you want it to be if you try hard enough for it and make goals and crush those goals like me i want to be a zoologist and im going to do anything in my power to make it happen because i was put on this earth to help save the world and all its beautiful creatures. So what ever you want to be after high school chase your dreams and make it happen but dont be afraid if your not good at something because you have to suck at something to be good at another. Just remember that there will always be people in this world willing to help and you might not mean something to the world but you can mean the world to someone. Be like me like how ill do anything to become a zoologist because its my destiny and i will achieve it. The only way you can achieve yours is if you work hard and really want it. The biggest ingredeant in achieving your destiny is effort and sometimes effort isnt fare so you just got to believe in yourself and keep on trying.

This is important because no one can make you do or be anything it is up to you and if you want to mess it up go right ahead but nobody’s going to fix it for you. It is not up to god to choose what you are going to do but you, must make all your choices big or small. You have to make your own choices because not everything is played out and set in stone. We all have to choose our own destiny and that is the point William Shakespeare tried to make.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this quote in many ways. One way is in school. Your teachers are like the stars and try and help you find your destiny but you have to find your own interests too. You have to work hard to get you dream job. I have to work to get good grade the stars aren’t going to be like “like this kid she’s going to get high honors and be a doctor and that boy I have a bad feeling about him!” We all have to work hard to be able to choose what we want and need to accomplish. Another example is famous people. We all have talent but only so many can make to the big time.

ReplyDeleteWhen he said this i think that he meant that no one but yourself can tell your own future. Some people will say look to the stars and they will tell you the answer or they will be in line with your future. Only you can tell what your future can hold. Only you can tell what is best and can tell what will cause trouble. I think that this saying or quote can be related to my life by when i was little everyone said that i was going to be a pro softball player. But that wasn't what i wanted i just wanted to be a kid and not the person everyone knows as the softball girl. People tried to tell me what to do and what to say but now i know that only i can be in control of my own life.
I think the quote by William Shakespeare "It is not the stars that hold our destiny, but it is in ourselves" means that only you can chose your faith. You are the only person that can decide you faith or your destiny in life. Not your Mom your dad or anyone for that matter can decide what your life has in store for you. Your parents and other people might be able to help shape how your future will go but only you can one hundred percent chose your future and your destiny. It's like saying if your dad was crazy and your mom was mean your going to be mean and crazy as well. You may act a little crazy and a little mean at times because that is how the people who raised you were but only you can decide if your going to be that mean person or your going to be that crazy person. This could also be vice versa. Your dad could be a kind person and your mom could be a hard working cop. You might also grow up to be a kind person or a cop because that is how you were raised but you could do stupid things and you would live a life of crime even though you were raised by great parents. I can relate myself to this quote because when I was younger my dad wanted me to be a carpenter like him. I did not want to be a carpenter so i started doing other things like computer software and other things like Archery and even cooking. So after a while my dad finally realized that i really wasn't into carpentry and things along those lines so he finally started to let me do what i wanted to do. By doing that i kind of shifted my faith to being Nick the Carpenter to Nick whatever i decide to be in the very near future.

Also you made a good point that I can agree with is that your friends or your parents can’t make your destiny but they can help you fulfill it or discover it. Sometimes if your parents pick your destiny, most likely you could be stuck with it and your life could be miserable. The example you picked that your dad wanted you to be a carpenter and you did not want to be a carpenter is a good one. Our parents have a huge impact on our destiny such as to be a good person like they are or not to make a mistake as they did with smoking or drinking or not to get into a lot of trouble in school or with the police. Destiny comes from within your heart and the choices you make in order to be successful in life and have a great future.

Or, that only you can change your life or future. No one else, but you can change your future because our actions predict our future. An example is if you do something bad or make a mistake, only you can change it. Before people were famous they probably didn't know they were going to be famous, because its hard to predict your future. This relates to an experience in my life, because I know if you live with your parents your whole life and your parents push you to be the best you can be, you can correct your mistakes. So if you are studying and giving 100% or your hardwork on everything your future is looking successful. And if you are not your future is looking bad. So you can only predict what your life is going to look like nobody else can but you. You are the only one that can choose who you want to be. Nobody else can because you make your own decisions and you don't need someone to make a decision with. You are the only one nobody else. You are the only one that can control your life. Deciding on your future starts when you make a mistake do you either keep making the mistake again or do you repeat that mistake again till you get it right and you don't make the mistake again. Changing your future starts when ever you want but once you start you keeping going till you have accomplished every goal you have set. Don't be afraid have passion in what you do. I can relate this because after highschool I want to go to college. College is big now because of the prices in order to get in, and the prices for the supplies. But that's only a small thing the big thing is for me to complete the college course and have a great future. A great future dosent mean how much money you make or the house or cars you get. It's how much hard work you put in to get what you got. So those times where you have it all in it paid off.

You can make your destiny and faith what ever you want. If you give your all and give all of your hardwork you will be successful. And you probley will not go far if you do not try your best and just act like you do not care. This relates to me by in school I have the choice to do my homework, I have a choice to do my boss, I have the choice to study and do my work and I do all of my work so I can succeed and have my destiny to do what I want in my life. Another exam is I have the choice to wanna be one of the best players on my baseball team I have tune choice to try and get my team to the championship and win and since I know whet I want to be in life and have the choice to do whatever I want I will try and win the championship for my team because they need me and want me so I'll do it for them and my self. Not anyone else. Everything is up to you and only you. No one can make you live your life, and tell you what to do. Your own purpose in life is to make your own decisions. You are made to be an individual. Not to follow in some ones foot steps. For example, if you want to get some where in life you have to make goals. In order to make goals you have to strive to get something. And the quote explains that you have to make your own destinies. This can relate to my life.alot. In fact when I was in 6th grade y friends would tell me what to do and id go along with it, but I realized I need to follow my own destiny and make my own decisions.
ReplyDeleteWilliam Shakespeare said: “It is not the stars that our destiny, but it is in ourselves.” I have heard a shortened version of this quote that goes “if it is to be it is up to me.” To me this quote means that fulfilling our goals is not about magic or destiny or genetics. Reaching goals and ultimate success is about working hard to make it happen. Most people who have met their goals or have been very successful will say that it was practice and study and persistence that got them there. The movie The Shawshank Redemption is one example that I think of when I read this quote. In the movie, the lead character Andy Dufresne was an innocent man serving a life sentence in a prison. Over a period of about 30 years he used a small rock hammer to take the prison wall down and make a tunnel. He moved it out in small handfuls in his clothing and covered the hole with a poster. He had to work very very hard over years and years but in the end got his freedom and his justice. I also believe in the spirit of Shakespeare’s quote and try to work toward goals and not expect destiny to get me there.

But to look at ourselves and find in ourselves what we can do better. What we can work at an try finding our destiny. I don't think it means, to do everything we have to try and make everyone know we have a good destiny. I think having a destiny is your own personal goal. Have passion to what your trying to do. Try seeing past everything that's hard and keep going. You will truly find your destiny. I'm not saying fishing your destiny is doing so many things such as helping around town or people. Many different humans have different aspects on what there destiny is. Just seeing something that inspires you, will make you believe that is your destiny. This can relate to me because there plenty of things I would love to do for the better of not only other things, but most likely me! Finding my destiny will have to happen in time, and will change over time. My destiny right now to this day, is to get better at volleyball. I have more than one destiny! That's why in life you can have different things but the thing that sticks out the most will be you overall destiny. I believe my destiny is different than what it will be in 10,20, even 30 years from now! Because we all find things that make us inspired to do more! And for me righ now my destiny is to do good in school and sports!

I believe this quote means that all you need is hard work and 100% and you can do whatever you want in life, no matter what it is. It means to give it your all and never stop trying and you make your future and where you go in life. If you truly believe you can you can, that you can do, achieve or become anything. This quote inspires me to take charge of my like to make my future brighter. I want to go to college, but I can't with the work habits I have now. I need to rethink my priorities, to do better in life.

These quotes have very similar meanings, they both mean you chose who you are, how your friends, peers and adults look at you, and how you are treated by others. You can act poorly your whole life, and get nothing at the end, or you can be responsible and take care of what you need to do before fun. You need to prioritize your wants and needs before you go off and have fun
Shakespeare was a playwright, but I believe he was a philosopher too. He and many other people are famous for a diversity of things, but were also great thinkers.
I think you are 100% right. This qu dose mean to give in 100%of your hard work because is life it will lead to something better. And you should not stop chasing that goal to go to college because it will happen with your 100% of hard work you put in and your dedication to your work

" William Shakespeare was a very intelligent man and you can tell by some of of quote he has said. I believe this quote means that the future isn't planned for you, you have to create it yourself. The path you take hasn't always been there, then you follow it and it leads you to your perfect life. You have to choose with way to turn and what trees and shrubs to cut and trim down because theyre obstacles in your way of you creating your perfect life. Not everyone has the perfect life either, because they're still building their path.
ReplyDeleteThis can personally relate to my life because I'm currently at one of those shrubs and branches that are tryin to get in my way. I'm having a rough time in my life right now and I'm really trying to inch my way through and cut one branch at a time. I believe this is working because I've almost overcome the obstacle that is slowing me down a little bit. Hopefully everyone can relate to this quote and in a way that good. The way this relate to my life is on the negative side of things but it's okay because its not always rainbows and butterflies its compromise that moves us along.

I wonder how many quotes he has to offer. I think this quote by him means to count on yourself more rather then luck or other people. I think this because when he says "It is not the stars that hold our destiny"- (the first part of the quote) means that you cant always rely on better people or stars to do everything for you. For example, on a football field there are eleven people and one insane person cannot hold off eleven average people on the opposing team or you cannot always rely on an above average or great player to do everything for you and a team.
ReplyDeleteThe second reason i think this is if you always copy someone in school and your seat gets moved next to basically nobody you are most likely to fail because you dont know the material because you really didnt do any work but copying down what your classmate next to you wrote down.

" means that you cant always rely on other people to "baby" you throughout life but to do things yourself. I am now very curious how many quotes Shakespeare has said and how many we are going to do this year.

This quote means that no one or nothing else can create and hold your future or destiny only you can by the way you react and work hard at something. This is very true because some people think they will just get through in life not caring or doing what they want, they need to realize whatever they do effects them later on and no one else did that to them but themselves. Also, this quote means that you can't rely on someone or something else and wait for it to happen, you need to get up, do it yourself and make your future what you want it to be. This quote also relates to my life. To explain, I used to think I didn't have to do anything and i would get by in life and in school, turns out I was completely wrong. I noticed things going downhill and I had to take a stand, so I focused on what's right and wrong and took the right path trying to succeed. No one can live your life for you . What a we all have in life is a chance to be something . It's up to you wether you take that chance and become someone and go places in life or not. I think this quotes means that no one else can control our destiny, only we have the power to take control of our own lives. This quote is very true because no one else can make you succeed in life. people may tell you how to succeed but in the end, it's up to you to do what's right and help yourself become the best possible version of yourself you can be. This quite can relate to my life because when I was younger, I saw that my older brother wasn't doing what he needed to do in school. He would bring home math tests with failing grades on them and try to hide them from our parents. But when my mom finally found the failing tests stashed away in his closet, she and my brother had a very long talk about how he needs to start putting his school work before anything else. Shorty after that, he started doing his work and even ended up getting an A in his math class! This is what I think this quote means.

Also that you are the one that chooses how you live your life weather you do bad things or you try and succeed and go to college and get a good job. You pick what your life is. You cant get by in life doing nothing and expect to succeed. Noone can make you succeed or fail it is your responsibility to do what you want.
This quote relates to me because i try in school so i can pass and go to a good college. If i do that then i will get a good job. I know what my responsibilities are in life and that it is up to me to do that. If i dont do my own responsibilities then i will never succeed and i will do terrible in life.
William Shakespeare, who was a great poem writer, who once made the great poem "Romeo & Juliet" once said "It is not the stars that hold our destiny, but it is in ourselves." What I think what William Shakespeare meant by this quote was that our life is not lead by our destiny, or the way we live, but is lead by the effort and the way that how we control our lives. For example, when you put fourth effort, you will succeed. But when you don't put fourth effort you will not succeed. Also when you do end up putting in effort sometimes you may end up getting rewards for doing these things which is a benefit and an upside toward reaching your goals. For example, to reach your destiny you need to work hard to reach your goals and earn what you want in life.

Since this is similar I think that this means the same thing in that this is another way of saying, William Shakespares, quote, "it is not the stars that hold our destiny, but it is in ourselves."
