ReplyDeleteEvery since we were kids we were taught to repect others, others property, and ourselfs, but is it really important? Personally,I believe respect is very important.Once you show kindness, and admiration for what people do everyday you will start to have a better understanding of the world. For example, if you have respect to your parent or guardian you start to understand what outgoing lengths they go through to care for you. You start to see through their eyes and see what they go through for you. Another reason why respect is important is because you start to appreciate what you have more. Once you see what other people don't have you start to respect the fact that you may be able to afford new clothes or the new iphone. Lastly, respect is important because if you show respect you are most likely to be given repsect in return. But what is respect? I believe respect is honor and admiration for someone or something. You can show respect by simply saying it or by understanding what one is going through.Another way is by being polite to others and helping them when needed.Personally, i make my respect something a person must gain. I do respect most people though and i try to understand what they go through everyday . Then, respect what they go through and deal with everyday. The only type of person i do not respect is those who had a easy life and do nothing,Now ending this blog in the words of Albert Enstein ,"Everyone should be respected as an individual, but no one idolized."
ReplyDeletenice job your wording and emotion was great
DeleteRespect is important, not to only me but I know to a lot of other people. I think respect is important because it can show who you are as a person, or how you treat others. I think respect is how you treat someone either the first time you meet them or even if you’ve known them for a while. Nobody that has respect for a teacher would go up to them and say “yo homie.” because to me that doesn’t show you have much respect for that person or teacher. When talking to an adult you show them respect. Or if you truly think of someone highly you show someone as much respect as you can. For example, a teacher is talking and you start talking, thats showing the teacher you don't care about what they are saying or trying to teach. It shows you have no respect for anyone. How I would show respect for someone is if they are talking to me to listen completely. Also, to be very kind to them or make sure they know you're at least listening to what they are telling you. I think respect shows how you treat yourself and much of how you treat others around you. In my view I respect people because it shows your character. You don't want people to think of you and refer to you as that rude girl. You want them to refer to you as a nice girl who shows respect the first second you meet them. I also think it shows people how kind and nice you are.
ReplyDeleteMy feelings towards respecting others are very strongly, you should always try to respect anyone you meet. Even if that person is being rude, you want to show them that you still have respect because you never know what they are going through. Which ties into my next explianton I feel like if you want respect you have to show it. Not showing respect will tell people you don’t want any back. At Least in my eyes I feel like if you don't show some people respect, you won’t get any back.
I agree with you that respect is the most important thing.i also agree that respect shows who a person is or are. Also I agree that if you have respect to an adult or teacher you wouldn't go up to them and say "yo homie" or anything like that. Again I agree that respect shows who a person is and how they treat others.
DeleteI agree 100% with your blog about respect. Respect for yourself and others is important in life. Another point that caught my eye is that respect shows who you are as a person. Respect is how you treat someone the first time you meet them. Also by having respect for people or things it means that you care, and it makes you a better person. Your examples were really true and I see them almost every day. Students have side conversations when the teacher is speaking calling by their first name without permission. Respect is a two way street were you can make friends or acquaintances or risk begin in constant conflict.
DeleteDo you think respect is important? I think respect is important because without people having respect for each other every person would be fighting. They would be making each other mad and they would brake each others things. Also I think respect is important because if you have respect for people then good things will happen to you because of how nice and respectful you are. Also I think you can have a lot more friends if you are nicer and are respectful to people. What I think respect is is you being kind, you being nice to people that you might not even like, you not touching there stuff if they don't ask you. All of those things I think respect is. How its shown is if you you help an old lady cross the road, if you say something nice to someone that's having a bad day. If some ones mad a you respect that there mad and just say that you are very sorry. Its those simple things that make people feel better and see that you have respect for them. Why you respect people is that you should treat people the same way you want to be treated but if there very nasty people they aren't earning your respect so you should not respect them if thee not good people. My feelings toward respecting others is if your a nice and respectful person I can respect you but if your just not a nice person ill have no respect for you. I think everybody deserves respect until they act like complete jerks or not nice people and when you lose respect of people you better earn it back or people will not like you.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Without respect there would be a ton of fights. Also that more good things will happen to you if you show respect.I agree if they are mean to you they dont deserve your respect.
Deletevery true. I agree with you. you display the perfect the wording.
DeleteI think respect is important because it tells people your feelings towards others and them. It also tells if you have good manours or not. Your inpretion on people will last forever so if act disrespectful or foolish then they will not like you and tell others so those people will ignore you. Respect helps people get to know you a little bit and helps people feel apresheated. Being respectful should be a habit like when someone gets you a gift that you dont like for your b day dont tell them you hate it say thank you ecsepeted the gift then get rid of it or return it to get something else. Respect shows that your kind enough to go out of your way to help others or to do a small deed like holding the door. I respect people because i want respect back and i think everyone deserves to be respected because one day the person you always call ugly or stupid might one day be your boss and could strait up fire you.another reason all people deserve respect because a persons a person no madder what color size or shape. I try to respect everyone even the people i dont like because i really want to be friends with every one because no one likes to be alone or feel alone. l think everyone deserves respect because everyone has a perpose and no one has the same perpose as the next. people these days can be very disrespectful and just because someones disrespectful to you dosnt mean to be disrespectful to them because two wrongs dont make a right and maybe you always being respectful to them will change there point of view
ReplyDeletei can agree with you at some points but i feel like not everyone deserves respect. For example someone who treated you badly could one day be your boss but that dosent mean he will change. You dont have to put up with anything now nor when you are older. If you stand up to this person now you may get the job because maybe this person will realize what he did was wrong and try to correct himself. If you stand up to him when he is older he is going to be less likely he is to change. He has lived like that for so long he will not know any other way to act.So you should try to stand up for yourself but be respectful while doing it if that makes sence
DeleteHi Jake i agree with you 100%. Respect is important and first impressions do last a life time. Everyone deserves respect at first but if you disrepect me i willdisrespect you. respect is an important thing and I feel everyone desreves it.
DeleteI think respect is important because if we don’t have respect every one would be mean and not care. People would be hurtful and respect is just a good thing, it makes you feel good inside. Respect saves peoples feelings and helps with bullying. Without it a lot of people would be bullied and a lot of people would be upset and unhappy with there life. I think respect is when you disagree with something but agree because it would make someone feel bad. Another example is when you think someone is wrong about an opinion and you tell him or her nicely that you think there wrong. Respect is being nice to people. Respect is shown in many ways. One way is being nice and caring about peoples feeling and keeping mean thing to you. I respect people because when im disrespected I feel sad and like those people don’t care. I hate that feeling and I don’t want other people to feel that bad feeling so I try to be respectful.
ReplyDeleteI feel that respecting others is important because every one has feelings and with out respect I feel that everyone would be depressed with out respect. People who don’t give respect are like bullies and no one should have a bully everyone should be nice and get along. I think everyone should stat out with respect, like when you first meet them at this point you want to be nice and have respect for each other. But if your going to be mean and a jerk to me when I do nothing wrong that’s when im going to slowly lose respect for you and not be able to tolerate you. It takes to lose my respect and once its gone it a lot harder to earn back
I agree Anna, If there was no respect the majority of the people would be mean and not care and most likely be hurtful. I also agree without respect there would be a huge increase in bullying. I also agree that one of the meanings of respect is to be nice to people.
DeleteIn my opinion what respect means to me is to be treated how other people want to be treated. It means to I don't really know how to explain it.I would want to be respected in every way possible. if you want to be treated with respect I deserve to be respected and I'll treat you with respect that you deserve. To show respect it's like example of like a teacher they come here and they teach you every day every morning for six hours they wake up and come to school. They teach you things that you wouldn't be able to learn without them. Teachers deserve a lot of respect I know some of us don't give it to them but they do deserve a lot of respect they come to school every morning and ready to teaches every morning. If we treat teachers with respect they will treat us with the same exact amount respect that we treated them with. Respect is a big thing and if you don't respect when you disrespect them you can't expect to respect you in the first place. Respectively also standing up when the American legions comes on to stand up to the flag and you don't have to say the the words to the American Legion but you should stand up because that's respect to the guys and women that or across the world fighting for our freedom.respect is a huge thing now and is it always has been this is kind of what I think it means and what it means to me.
ReplyDeletei think respect is very important. I think respect is when you dont care about someone else's decision. You can honestly care about this person and care about how a decision will affect them but you have no say. I think it can be shown by someone like a friend or someone how means something to you sticking by your side no madder what or when you say something in confidence, they wont say anything or let it affect you friendship. You should respect people if they respect you that's all i can really say there is no exact definition its just how you feel. I think everyone should earn respect. Some people can earn it quicker then others with me you need to earn it. You have to always prove that you can respect someone thats how i feel.
ReplyDeleteI think respect is very important. Respect to me is is that you show that you admire someones achievements or there abilities. Which means that even if you don't like that person you would still have respect for what they do and there achievements. A example of this would be is if you did not like a teacher and you would still do all the homework and be nice because you respect that shes a teacher. Respect can be shown by doing your homework, acting mature in class, helping someone, being nice and showing that you care about what he or she does. I respect people because if you don't respect someone it's rude and not nice. You also tend not to make friends and you usually are the one person no one really wants to talk to. I also show respect because my parents raised me to show respect. I think respect is earned. If you don't show me respect why should I show you respect? I also think the same vice versea if I don't show you any respect why should you show me any? I also think respect is earned because someone is obviously going to show more respect to a friend then to a total stranger. Finally i think if someones does not deserve respect then someone should not have to give it to them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you nick. Everyone should deserve respect even if you do not like them. I like the example that you used. Because you can imagine that in our heads. And that is right if no one respect you the you don't. And yes respect is always earned
DeleteRespect is very important. Respect to me is that you dont talk back. Also you listen to what your peers are saying. You arent yelling at them and you do as your told especially if it someone older than you lie your teachers and principals. You show respect by doing all the things i just said. Like not talking back and not just saying ya when you are told to do something and not do it.You must treat everyone equally and just because someone looks or acts different than you doesnt mean you shouldnt respect them.
ReplyDeleteMy feelings toward respecting others is strong. You must treat someone the way you want to be treated. Something we have been learning since kindergarten. You should respect everyone. No madder how they treat you, you must respect them. I think that everyone should be treated with respect. Even if you only respect them a little bit you are still respecting them.
Respect is very important to me. It begins with respect for yourself in taking care of your body, mind, and soul. I think respect is also about treating others the way you would like to be treated. Ways to show respect are to help those that need it, from your family to the kid that drops books in the halls at school. I try to push down any judgments about people I first meet and show respect immediately and treat them well. However I will lose respect pretty quickly if I see people hurting themselves with drugs or alcohol abuse, or hurting others by bullying, stealing, or forcing people to do things. So far me, I will give everyone respect and they will only lose it by their actions or words. Respect is an important way to connect with others. You might be surprised by how alike we all are if you are able to get past the judgment and show initial respect
ReplyDeleteI think respecting your self is also very important to being respectful
DeleteI agree with you. You should always respect your self that is a huge part about things . Respecting your is a good way to get other people's respect as well. I agree with you nice job!!
DeleteDo you think respect is important? I think respect is one of the most important things in life. Respecting someone or something is something you should do on a daily basis. When you respect someone you are just known that you are a mature kind person. Also if you respect something ,most of the time it means that you are not bothering or taking care of something that isn't yours. For example, if your watching over some ones phone and you act careless ,and drop it and it breaks that's going to be your be your fault. Would you want someone to do that to you with our expensive stuff? I know for sure I wouldn't want that to happen to me. Being respectful is also key to jobs and collages. If you don't have respect you will get no where in life. My parents taught and raised me with respect, and in my opinion that was the best thing my parents had taught me. If I never learned respect I don't where I would be in life today. My opinion to respecting others is probably one of the most important things you can do or act. When people respect each other it makes me happy. I think people should respect each other if they respect you. I think karma takes a big part in it
ReplyDeleteRespect is so important. Without it it's going to lead to a disrespectful world. Disrespect is really bad, with that every day kids will disrespect their moms or dads. And that is not how kids should act these days. kids are so disrespectful like it is not funny. They would disrespect people because they think it's cool. But for me I think it's just you being a bully. And that is not right. Because it can lead you To trouble and it won't lokk good on you because I don't think you will liked to be known as the most disrespectful kid . And that will literally ruin you. Respect is always earned. You don't just get it in what you do. You have to show yourself that you can gain it. And once you get that respect you give the same respect that they gave you
ReplyDeleteRespect is a big key concept in passing school and doing well in life. Respecting others make other people like you and also give respect back to you. An example of respect is when we do our blogs, we have to respectfully reply to someone elses blog. If we say thing back like "your opinion is stupid" or "you are dumb" and mean/ hateful replys we are disrespecting others. Another example of giving respect is when a teacher or someone is talking, dont interrupt them. Teachers yell at kids all of the time for having their own "private conversations" with others while class is going on, which is disrespectful.
ReplyDeleteI usually respect everyone and include their thoughts and ideas and not just say "that was stupid" and mean and hateful replies back to them when they bring up an idea that may not be so bad after all. What i like to do is branch off of others ideas and include most or all things brought up and not leave anyone out of the conversation or project.
Respect from others is earned and everyone is not always going to be respectful to you. Some reasons of others being disrespectful to you is that you were once mean or direspectful to them and they held a grudge. If you go to a job interview and you are a big jerk to the interviewer, you are most likely or even just not going get the job. All bosses and employers like respectful workers who are nice to them and others.
The definition of respect is: a feeling or attitude of admiration and deference toward somebody or something. To get respect, you must first earn it.
I agree and also believe that people should always remain respectful towards others. Respect is a huge key to living out the best in our lives and truly striving to be better people. Also, respecting others opinions can always make you more likable in the long run.
DeleteMy feelings towards respecting others is that everyone should be respected. Even if they are not nice people. The reason why I say this is because that you should not stoop down to somebodies level if they are not nice and you should be better the person. Also when somebody is mean sometimes that means that they could be jealous, or enveaous of something that you did.
ReplyDeleteI think respect is important because it shows kindness, loyalty and a good attitude towards others. What I think respect is, "a feeling of deep admoration for someone or something that a elicited by their abilities, qualities or achievments." , or a " admire (someone or something) deeply as a result of their abilities, qualities or achievements."
Respect is shown by the way you treat people, for example with courtesy and kindness. In my personal view I think that everyone should be respected and treated well because everyone deserves the same amount of kindness.
In my view why I think people do not respect each other is because they are not nice people who should learn to be nice people. I think that respect should be given to everybody and even if they are not nice they still deserve respect.
I agre respect shows kindness and care. But I dont think people who are mean should be respected. They dont respect others, why should we respect them? Maybe they will realize how it feels when they dont get respect.
DeleteRespect may be the most important thing in our world. Everyone deserves respect. Respect is when to me is accepting people for who they are and being nice about it. It is shown by simpily saying it to people. "Cool shirt you have on." That person most likely now feels confident and good about themself. Or if someone worked hard and hit the winning shot in a basketball game cheer for them. For me their are some people I do respect and some I dont. The ones I do respect are those who respect me and are nice to me. The people i dont respect are people who are bullies, mean, or simply if they dont respect me. When I respect a kid it makes them happy but also makes me happy. Im happy that I made a kid smile that day. No not everyone deserves respect. As already stated, if you are evil or bully, or simply dont respect others, you dont deserve respect to yourself. People you should respect are your friends or other classmates, parents, and people you work with such as your boss. Without respect the world would be an evil and rotten place. Lastly, the respect someone gives to me they will get the exact equal respect back. No more or no less.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. Our comments were very similar to eachothers and a lot of people in the class. we both talked about giving and earning respect. In my opinion respect is earned, not given.
DeleteEver since we were old enough to know what the word respect means, we have been taught to respect people. Respect their property, race, religion, ect. I think respect is a very important thing. Some people, however, don't think respect is something that is too important and do not give much concidideration to it at times. I believe that respect is not given, it's earned. In other words, you have to be respectful to people in order to receive the same respect back. You can't expect to be harsh to someone, but for them to be respectful towards you. Respect is a two-way street so you can't expect people to bend over backwards for you if you don't show that you care about them.
ReplyDeleteAlthough our family has taught us to always be respectful to people no matter what, there are some people who don't particularly deserve the respect that others do deserve. For example, you would not give the same amount of respect to someone who constantly bullies you and to your best friend. Some people, simply do not deserve that kind of respect. People that are always mean to other people don't usually get the same amount of respect as someone who is always kind to others. Some people would disagree and say that no matter what, everyone should receive the same amount of respect, no matter who they are. I simply just don't think that's the truth. Everyone has their own opinion =, however, and it would e wrong to not respect that.
