"Immature love
says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I
love you.”

your own words.
* What is the difference between mature love and immature
love? Be sure to use detail and discuss how it could relate to Romeo and
Juliet.
"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” this is a strong qoute. it was once said by erich fromm. what i think this qoute means is that immature love is trying to say that he only loves you because you have what it needs. it doesnt love you for who you are it just loves you because you have what it needs. immature love is using you. it doesnt truly love you. and immature love can only survive if it has you. but if it doesnt have you it will die. where instead of immature love you have mature love, and what mature love is trying to say is that that it only needs your love to survive. it doesnt need what you want or what you have to survive. mature love is true love. mature love can survive with your love. this qoute can be related to romeo and juliet because romeo and juliet had both mature love and immature love but know matter what they both still loved each other. it was love at first sight.the way the qoute can relate to them is that no matter how mature or how immature there love was they still learned to love each other for who they are not for what they have or what they need you for. even though they were from different families and that each others families didnt like each other they still loved each other for who they were. also this qoute can relate to romeo and juliet because of their families. at the end of romeo and juliet romeo and juliet kill themself and there families crushed there differences because there families loved them both.. The families needed to crush there differences because of romeo and juliet. That is true love
ReplyDeleteI totally agree george. Thanks for sharing . Very interesting ! Couldnt have said it any better. You had great reference to the play !

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Viscel. I like how were both pretty much on the same topic here. I like that you wrote a big percentage of young people believe fairy tales, are what true love is, ITS NOT!! This was what made mine and yours pretty much on the same page. Therefore, I definitely agree with you and what you said about love.
Delete"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you’, Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” I think this quote means that when you are younger you think you need someone to be there for you and so you say you love them. Immature love isn’t real love. You don’t truly understand why you think you love that person when in the end you will just end up breaking up. Even if you though you would be together forever. Immature love is when you know what the outcome eventually is. There is no special reason why you’re together just like that person at this moment. Mature love is when you love a person so much you couldn’t live without them. It would be like missing a part of yourself without them by your side. Nobody could break that bond you and you love share.
ReplyDeleteImmature love is shown many times in just only the first act. Romeo thinks his is in love with Rosaline and thinks she is the prettiest girl he has ever seen in his life. That no one could stop him besides her not loving him. Which ends up happening and him being upset. When he went to the party he expected that no one could be as pretty as her until he met Juliet. As soon as they met they claimed they instantly fell in love. This is immature love because they just see each other’s beauty and not their personality. Nor do they know each other’s name. Mature love is when no matter how pretty someone is the only girl they see is you. They do not focus on anyone else and they are a gentlemen. They would do anything for their lady. She is one of the most important thing to him. I feel that many people don’t really understand the different especially teens. You don’t love someone just because you think you need someone.
Good quote, however, I disagree with you when you say "when you are younger you think you need someone to be there for you and so you say you love them." I say this because it doesn't matter what age you have to be so have immature love. But I do agree with you when you talk abut having no special feelings in immature love. Good quote!!
DeleteIn life... everyone has a different perspective and meaning when it comes to love . Not everyone loves until they can love nomore . Some people just use other people to satisfy their personal needs . But to skip to the point . . This quote means that theres two types of individuals out there whos kove differs from the other . Theres immature love thats like "i love you cause I need you" then theres e mature and real love that like "i need you because I love you". Theres people you can come across that only want one thing from and then theres another person who would only want to see your smile and inner beauty because true beauty does lie within the soul . The difference between the two is that one defines True love thats deeper than the flesh and the other defines taking advantage of someone and using love as the makeup
ReplyDeleteIt relates to romeo and juliet because romeo needs to findout who he really loves maturely or immaturely. Some people will and can see you for you. Others will just look around it .
DeleteI totally agree with you kanisha. That totally describes this quote. Mee basically mean the same thing. Great job, thanks for sharing!
Delete"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you’, Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” This is a very powerful quote that can relate to many love stories, songs, poems, movies, etc… I think what the writer is attending for the reader or listener to learn from it is that true love isn’t about looks. For example love at true sight is never true because you can’t truly love someone just by looking at them you have to get to know the person before declaring you love him/her just like Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. Also it quote says “I need you because I love you,” and “I love you because I need you,” which I think means that you feel different way from being immature in love and maturely in love. I say this because being in immature love is needing someone just because of their looks. However, mature love is needing someone because you are so in love with him/her that you physically need that person. A quote I can think that would relate to this quote is “ love is like playing baseball if you swing to fast or early you will miss but if you understand where the ball is going at make direct contact you will have a homerun.” I say this because when swing to early or too late it is like being immature love because like it or not you will end up missing all the time. However is you make a direct hit buy analyzing the ball you will have a homerun which basically means true love. That is what I interpreted from this quote.
ReplyDeleteLike I said before true love and immature love are to very separate feelings. This is because you relay don’t have true feeling for the person if u just like him/her. And if you really are in love with someone you can’t stop having feelings for that person. For example, in “Romeo and Juliet,” Romeo is always pulling the trigger to early always falling in love with the first lady he see and then gets all mixed up with feelings. And even then Romeo had immature love feeling towards Juliet, at least for the first act. That is the difference between immature and mature love.
I agree with what you said and good job at using another quote in your comment. I think what you said about not having love at first sight was true because you can only love someone for their looks if it's love at first sight. If you really get to know the person though you would fall for what they are inside. Nicely done Mike and i think you should use other quotes that relate to your comment inside your explanation more often. That quote you put in your comment was nicely portrayed in the explanation.
DeleteI completely agree with you, Mike. The definitions of the word 'lust' and 'love' do get mixed up a lot, as do definitions of many words. Although, I suppose that during adolescence when everything is new, it's easy to confuse the two.
DeleteThe quote "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” is a bit confusing at first but when you read it over again then you can get an understanding of it. This quote basically says that if you really love someone you won't be like I love you and you wouldn't say it so easily and if you don't love someone then you would say it all the time to that person. This quote you need to pick little bits off at a time then you will be able to understand what this is trying to tell you. Also this quote is trying to relate to so many relationships in real life and its scary but true. This quote has effected so many of my friends and I am sad to say that it might have affected you too.

This quote has not only affected lives of people but characters in books too. In Romeo and Juliet the two say that they love each other so deeply and they say that they would do anything and even die for each other but in reality Romeo and Juliet don't even know each other's names. This quote is substantial to this book because Romeo and Juliet don't even know each other so how do they know who the other could be and they just has a crush on each other they don't have true love for each other. At the beginning of the book Romeo was depressed and gloomy over Rosaline who he had said that he'd loved with all his heart and he was just going to the party to see her. Romeo didn't really love Rosaline but now he really loves Juliet that just doesn't make sense sure he has a crush on what she looks like but villains could have pretty faces too I mean seriously like in my favorite show once upon a time Peter Pan is really hot but he is evil and he kills for fun and he has a pretty face so you don't know what people could be on the inside you only see what they look like on the outside.
The quote, "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you," means a lot of things. The word love is usually misused or misinterpreted. There are numerous meanings and definitions to this overly used word. Not many of them make much sense to me. Love is a feeling of complete happiness. Love is something that can’t be touched or bought, but is something that is much better than money. Love isn’t a word that should be used lightly, but usually is. I believe that love is the most commonly used, but most understood word ever known. Some people get the word love mixed up with lust. First off, Immature love is your saying you love someone because you like them for there look or just because u like this for other reasons. Mature love is when you need the person in your life because you love what they have to bring not for there features but for there personality. I think a lot of people get confused with this and I think this is the reason why most people break up is because they were in "immature" love. This has happened to me before I thought I loved someone because they were really beautiful but it turned out that I didn't actually love them because there personality wasn't great. Then I actually found someone that I dated for a while and now were really good friends but I still love her because she always had that good personality that your looking for in a person. The quote, "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you," is very inspiring because it actually helped me learn that there are different way to use the word love and I was using it wrong. Therefore, the word love is definitely misused for mature and immature meanings.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Jessie. What you say in my perspective fits the quote. you make this quote more clearly. I really like you response
DeleteTo me, the quote "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you,' Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.'" means that if you think you love someone because they are useful to you, you do not love them. But if you need someone to stay with you because you love them as a person, that is real love. This is what this quote means to me.
ReplyDeleteThe difference between mature love and immature love is that when someone who is not mature thinks they are in love, they get bored of the person they supposedly love as soon as they find someone else who interests them. When someone mature is in love, they never get over that person if they break up or if they meet someone else interesting. This relates to Romeo and Juliet because Romeo thought he was so in love with Rosaline, but as soon as he went to the Capulet's party and saw Juliet, hd forgot all about Rosaline. Also, Romeo and Juliet did not even know each other, but as soon as they met they both thought they were in love, so they were both immature.
Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you." This quote means that immature love is fake and that you need that person not because you care but for a reason to benefit yourself. Mature love is real and you need that person because you care for them. In Romeo and Juliet , Romeo fell in love with Juliet the moment he saw her , he didn't know anything about her and he didn't care to know at the moment. Romeo only needed Juliet because of the way she looked . He completely forgot about Rosaline even though he loved her so much . Romeo and Juliet's love is obviously immature , they didn't bother to know each other but they say that they cant live without each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat does this quote mean to me? I think it basically means that anybody can say I love you but how do you know they truly mean what they're sating? People have told me the loved me from time to time but where are they at now, we either don't see eachother or socialize. I like this quote a lot and I should have just done my one the first time.
"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you’, Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.”
ReplyDeleteWhat this quote means to me are kids who don’t know what love is says I love you, but they don’t know what it means. Immature love is people who think they love each other but they have no clue how love feels. There are a lot of people who have immature love. Mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.’ To me this is what love means to me or maybe to anyone. Needing someone because you love them means that you can’t wait to see them and that you just want to be with them and have them never leave your side. Having mature love is a great thing because if you got into a fight or something you can fix it without having you guys fight over something that is unnecessary. The love that Romeo and Juliet have is mature. They always think about each other. Having a good relationship like Romeo and Juliet is something everyone would want to have. Not everybody can experience a great relationship. The exceptions of having a great relationship is you guys can talk about anything. You will always have something to talk about. You guys will probably never get bored. The outlooks of having a bad relationship is you guys will end up fighting all the time. Wont be able to stand each other and then that will lead to a break up or if your married a divorce.
"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” I think this quote means that you feel like you cant do much with out them . cause you don't want too be with out them . but I think you truly don't need anybody but your self. no matter what but I guesss it nice too love someone and be able too do things with the people you love. The difference between real love and immature love is when that like if you are dating someone for a week and you are like wow im so in love that's immature. but if you dated them for a while and you actually know everything about them and see them in your future then that's mature love. romeo and Juliet doesn't know anything about love . Juliet acts more mature then he does in that case. he fell in love twice in two days. Juliet fell in love but she had more of a brain then he did . he was so whipped that she basically told him too marry him . it is like he had no say . but that's how its suppose too be
ReplyDeleteThe quote "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” has a meaning to it. To me, this quote means that immature love is when you're younger and you're just saying you need them, but you really don't. You may not love them, you may just need them. They're saying I need you in my life because I love you. It may not be a physical need like helping out it may be you need them in your life to be happy. Mature love says " I need you because I love you". I think that means that since you love the person than you may need them in your life. If you love someone so much you need to have them in your life. There are many differences between mature love and immature love. One difference is that immature love is saying that they need them in their life just because they love them. Mature love is saying they love the person so they need them in their life. I personally like mature love more because you may spend your life with that person if you're serious about it. Immature love is just kind of saying I love you so I need you.
ReplyDelete"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” This is a very strong deep quote. What this means to me is that immature love is that you don't really love them, but mature love is you really love them no matter what. For example, Romeo was all about rosaline until he laid his eyes on Juliet. The immature love was him and Rosaline and the mature love was him and Juliet because he really love Juliet and is crazy about her, but was really about Rosaline. The difference between immature and mature love is that immature is like that you don't really love them but mature is that you need her and you really love her. Mature love is that you wanna marry her from the moment you see her, immature is like childhood love. So that's basically what the quote "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” Means. Great quote ms bocchino!
