"Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another." What does this quote mean to me? Well this quote means many different things to me. It tells me that you have to be a good role model because if you say something wrong it could give the wrong idea. That can mess up another kids life from the word that you said when you should have just watched what you said. It also means that you should always say good things around younger people that look up to you weather you like them or not. You don't want to live with the guilt of saying one think and messing up a kids life with words. It also says that word are stronger then everyone thinks. Just a few words can lead to failure or success. One time when I was with my little cousins and I was talking to my uncle. I had said that I hated school. I forgot that my cousins where there and I had made them panic and say that they didn't want to go to school. I felt really bad So I had to say something to chance there minds. So basically I said that they didn't let me finish. I said that I hated how school had to end and how we had to go home. Alaid that I wanted to live in school. If people don't like the way you talk to people or if you're mean they're not going to like you. That doesn't influnce People that you're a good person. It just says that you're mean.

For an example if you were saying how that Harry Potter was awful because they had nothing about wizards and were just to short you would be consider a straight up idiot and knew nothing about what you were talking about and you gave people the wrong information and made them seem like complete morons and they would blame you and then you would be thee complete moron. It happened to so many people that I know and personally it was because it was from their friend and they never thought to look up the answer or what they have bin told. It happened to me a few times and I felt like a complete idiot. It is unestly the worst feeling that happens in my opinion. But when it happens to me I just laugh it off because I know that not everyone can be right even if the answer is always in front of him or her because they never thought to look. So when this ever happens to you just remember were humans, not a god. And if you get made fun of it remember that we all put our pants on the same way, which means we all mess up and that they have faults to. When I got made fun of for getting something wrong because I didn’t know it I thought I was a complete idiot and that I should just drop out of school because I thought I was the stupidest person alive. But my uncle told me that saying and I felt a lot better because it is the truth. DeleteI think the quote “Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another.” means to do not do something only because you heard them say it. When a person who looks up to you hears you say something they want that or want to be just like that. So if you say something stupid than the person who looks up to you will do that or say that. They will think that is the right thing. Once they start doing that they will get used to it. And when they are older and somebody looks up to them they will act the same way. After a while the whole world will act stupid and do stupid things and think it is the right thing. So think before you speak or it will be your fault that the entire population of people on earth are dumb and do not think before they speak. Once the seed starts growing you will never forget what you are learning. Education is one of the only things somebody cannot take away from you, so once you learn something you cannot UN learn it. You may be able to forget it but it will always be in your head. If what you are going to say is super smart say it loud so all the people who look up to hear it. Yell it really really loud so every single person on earth will hear you. So basically this means to not plant stupid seeds in other people brains. Only plant smart seeds because if you say something stupid it will be your fault the whole world is stupid one day. I think it basically you're sikeing someone out like if you tell someone they're going succeed they sometimes feel obligated to try their hardest to make it. But if you tell someone they're going to fail they feel obligated to to prove you wrong. Lets say you have stated something but you don't want to continue it but the people you love are making you stay to it. Like for example i tried out for paa and thought to myself i want to make it in but i don't think i van but the second i read we are sorry to inform you but , i just know i just let everyone down. Always be careful what you say to people because you don't know if a certain person is going to take offence to it or not. you might think you are doing the right thing and the other person thinks you making fun of them. Did you ever tell someone something to put them down. Yes you have and you can't swear up and down that you didn't but you know you did. Once i told someone they look comfy but they took it as me saying they look like a bum. Always go in your head saying would like someone saying that to no or yes. what you say one day may not affect that person that day but it will affect them eventually. I was once told that i look big in a outfit and every scene i've never worn it again for that same reason because i thought i looked bug in it . just moral of the story is that be careful of what you say to people because you don't know how they're going to take it.

I know that once I told someone that their outfit looked really nice and they got mad at me because they thought I was being sarcastic. If people don't have anything nice to say, they should learn not to say it at all.

What I think this means to me is that some people will take things differently than others and could really hurts someone’s feelings. Also if you say the right thing it could actually make some one really happy that your there for them. I try not to hurt people’s feelings and say the right thing and side with then even if I don’t think that it is the right thing. The person who said this quote really makes sense and follows this all the time because it really makes sense. I follow this all the time because that’s what I feel is right it’s like just something you do. I think that if you like to make people upset then you’re just a mean person and same should be done to you. I think that everyone should be praised and shouldn't be put down because someone could have a great idea but everyone thinks it’s done and that person won’t strive for it. Also though if it was like that then people would all be at the top and people wouldn't be so greedy and treat people like crap. ReplyDeleteI can relate this quote to one time in my life. This one time i was hanging out with my friend and i said something to her, but i said it off the top of my head. But i didn't realize that i said something i shouldn't have said. And my friend said maybe you should think twice and she got mad at me. I “planted a seed of failure” in her mind. After that moment i always watched my words wisely. And i always thought before i spoke to anyone, so that no one would get mad over wrong things i said. In conclusion, the quote “Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another” means that you should always watch your words and think before you speak. Its important to always be nice and say nice things instead of saying rude things to make the people around you mad or upset.

DeleteThe quote “Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another.” What I think this means is that if you say something, people might take it the wrong way and think it was highly offensive even though you didn’t mean it as such. For example, if you tell someone that a certain job is dumb, that person might actually enjoy doing it. Now they think differently of you whenever you talk because you said that. An example of how this quote applies to me is that I always call myself stupid when I get frustrated and can’t do something right. My parents correct me all the time. It is not true but I am planting the seed of failure in my mother’s mind. My mom says that I am lowering my self-esteem by saying this and it farthest from the truth. I think another example of this would be gossiping and rumors. Why I think this is a good example is because we all start rumors about people and they are probably not true. Someone could really not like a person and tell a bunch of lies about them and make the person seem really bad and not trustworthy. In reality, they could actually be a really nice person. When others hear these rumors about this person, you are planting the seed in their minds that the person is horrible. To sum up what I’m trying to say is that you really should think twice before you say something because it could change how someone sees you and also how they respect you also. But there's those people in the world who say mean and disgusting stuff, and those stuff can also change a persons life. I experience this quote because one day i was watching a video and told my mom how i want to be there when i get older, and she says if you keep working hard and dream you'll be there. I think it has a very good meeting to it. I think it means that you need to think twice before you speak, Think twice for many reasons. If you just speak what's on your mind then it could lead you to good things are bad. If you just speak and don't think about it it will bring you do something bad. But if you really think about it it'll give you true meaning. This quote has described a time in my life and others many times. In the past both my mother and my father mentioned to think twice before speaking all the time when I was a child. The reason why they always kept saying that was because they wanted me to know that words can affect people. For example, say that you didn't do good on a test in your science class and you didn't study. The first person that you blame is the teacher for making it too hard even though everyone else in the class all got passing grades. There is only two decisions he could choose from, either he can complain to the teacher that he stinks for making the test so hard and get an attitude to the teacher. The other option is to ask the teacher if you can retake the test again in the future and admit that you didn't study. The one thing that you have to think about when you think of this quote do you believe yourself. That is why people always think twice before talking because they want to make sure that they are making the right choice and the right selection of words. What I like about this quote is that is extremely useful and everybody will end up using one point or even more in their average lives. I remember a couple times in the past when I thought twice about saying something and it helped a lot in my life. Well the good thing about this quote is that we all hear it from and adult or parent as we are growing up.

If you don't think before you speak you could seriously hurt someones feelings. Sometimes when you don't think about what your gonna say it could come out the wrong way and the person your talking to could take it the wrong way. Everyone thinks differently so I could take this quote in a different direction, but its my opinion and me trying that counts. This blog for instance required you to think because if we didn't think about what we were going to say we probably wouldn't know what to say or write. what think twice before you speak means to me is what you are going to say might sound ok in your head but when it comes out it sounds wrong. My parents all ways tell me this quote cause one day you might say something to the wrong person. I can remember a couple of times I should have thought about what I said before I blurted it out. I have said mean things that as soon as I said them I felt really bad, and so did the other person. if everyone watched what they said half the world crisis wouldn't happen. There might have been world peace but its not to late, yeah we have a lot to do but we can still accomplish world peace by just something so easily as thinking twice. it can make other people feel good or bad about them self's if you choose to think twice. its your reasonability. maybe shootings wouldn't have happened and many more people would still be alive. ReplyDeleteFor example when I was about too cut class, not thinking about the after act , it put me in a situation were I kept getting trouble . but yet I still wasn’t thinking good enough . then I got ISS and am writing this cause it relates perfectly. I wasn’t thinking clear enough so im stuck in iss cause I mad a bad choice, even though I made a bad choice . I would proably still do it but that isn’t the point. The point is that I wasn’t thinking and got in trouble . which affected me in the long run . I learned my lessons , and hope never too get iss ever again . Its isn’t fun and really boring , so maybe now that I think about it I don’t wanna skip again

ReplyDeleteSomebody once said “Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another.” What this quote means is that you need to start thinking before you talk because the words you do or the actions you take part in may cause someone to think good or think bad of you. For example, If I were to call someone ugly, whether it be true or not, If someone hears that they will start thinking that I have no sensor on my mouth or that I am just straight up disrespectful. Also, who wants to be around a person who is always doing something wrong. Like if I hang around with a group of bad kids, people will start thinking of me as a bad troublemaking kid whether I do what they do or not. I would be considered guilty by association and they would have false accusations in their mind about me and I don’t think anybody would want that. On the other hand, you should watch what you say so you only say good things. If you only say good things that will make you a likeable person. For example just saying “how was your day” or “good morning” can go a long way and mean a lot to a person who is having a bad day. You would want to say good things because whether you know it or not, most of the time there is always someone looking up to you so if they see you doing wrong they may start to do what you do thinking that it is okay. ReplyDeleteNapoleon Hill once said "Think before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of others" This quote means everything you say or do will have consequences, some good and some bad, so think of all consequences you will face if you do or say something you shouldn't say. It's basically saying that others will judge you based on what you say or do and they will act based on what you say because they might think what you say is okay for them to say just because you said it. I can relate this to my life because someone very important to me always tells me the most important word in life is “think”. Which is pretty much saying the same thing this quotes says. That really had an effect on me because whenever i'm going through something bad and i'm about to say something i will most likely regret, I think of all the problems I would face after the fact. This quote also tells me you have to be a good role model all the time because you never know who looks up to you. I know i have to be a good role model for my little cousin, and i constantly have people telling me that i need to think before i act because he is going to follow what me and my brother do and everyone makes mistakes but i just have to think before i do. To me, this quote means that words influence others in either a positive or negative way. Every one of us has the ability to either encourage or bring down someone else. Words can be used to hurt or help people at different times. For example, my friend was being bullied. I tried to give him a positive attitude. In my own life, positive things that people say about me help me keep going through life. For example, when teachers give encouragement or guidance it helps me to strive for better grades. Another example is that I have been inspired to be a chef because of positive feedback I get about the food I cook. My uncle Jeff and another friend Vincent have recently encouraged me about becoming a chef and this could plant a seed of success in my life.

Some people live their lives speaking before they think, and they regret their words in the end. I think you should think twice before you speak because your words have as much power as your actions. Sometimes when you are joking, it is easy to say things you don’t mean and it affects the way others think about themselves. Words are like seeds. They can either help people grow or wither away.

It could mean that if you say something with out thinking before you say it and it could possibly be a negative thing and couldn't make a negative effect on someone but also you could be lucky without thinking a can succeed with influencing others. What i mean by my examples is that if you say something to fast such as a racial comment (just an example) but if you make some comment to a person they might take it a different way then someone else or how your friends might react because you aren't thinking before you talk because your used to being open and talking regular like that to friends. Also if you think before you talk you will get further in life and will succeed in many things because you will know what to say for example, If you go for a job interview and don't think through what your going to say and come unprepared then you won't get far and most likely won't get hired. But if you come prepared and know what to say and have a plan and know how to control the interview then you will get far and impress your interviewer and will have a higher chance to get hired for that job. ReplyDeleteI agree with burr. If you say something fast and you don't think before you say it it could hurt the other person. Sometimes you could say something that is against somebody's religion and don't like it and you get mad for some reason why they told on you.
