"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” What I think this quote means is that basically immature love is like love at first sight. An example of immature love would be if you are walking down the street and you see someone and instantly fall in love. You have no idea what this person is like and you also hardly know them. What I think mature love is like is that maybe if you are really good friends with someone and over the period of your friendship you start to develop feelings for them. I have examples of both of these types of love that has happened with me. an example of immature love that has happened in my life is when someone I hardly even knew came up to me and asked me out. I had no idea who he was and since I don't believe in love at first sight, I didn't go out with him. An example of mature love would be with one of my friends. We have been friends for a long time and they started to develop feelings for me because we have known each other for years. In Romeo and Juliet, there are many examples of both immature love and mature love. An example of immature love would be the scene where Romeo met Juliet and they kissed and instantly fell in love and they didn't even know each others names. An example of mature love would be when Romeo thought Juliet was dead when she actualy was sleeping so he killed himself so he could be with her, and when Juliet woke up and saw that Romeo was dead, she killed herself. I think this is mature love because if you truly love someone very much, you would take a bullet for that person. This is what I think the quote means.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with you on this quote. The reason why I disagreed with you on this quote because I think there is no such thing of immature and mature love. The reason why I think that is because you cannot really love something differently because if you love something you like it more to a extant. So that is one of the main and only reason why I disagree with your opinion and meaning on this quote.
Deletei agree that immature love would be a first sight thing. I dont think that that is really possible. And yes in romeo and juliet there are a lot of emaples of this quote. Romeo falls in love with Juliet at first sight. But he also liked a different girl before that.

DeleteWhat I thin the quote, “I love you because I need you” and, “I need you because I love oyu” Is that is that you love someone or something so much that if you didn’t have them/it you would be heart broken and would be depressed most of the time. The quote “I love you because I need you” would be considered immature love and the quote “I need you because I love you” would be considered mature love. I believe that there is no such thing as immature love and mature love. The reason why I say that is because you either love something or don’t love something and age doesn’t matter. Unless if this quote means by age (which I don’t believe so). For a example you you love someone whe you are 14 and you think, “I wish I could marry him/her” and at age 24 you find another person you could marry there is only one thing that is different is that you found two different people that you would want to marry at two different ages. Also I think that love is all luck because you will never now who or when you will fall in love. They could be in your gym period or it can be a person in NYC you never know. Love is one of the most trickest things to understand in my opinion. Not like the concept but the whole hands on part. You could love this one person at one moment and a second later you would fall in love with another person and then you don’t know who to ask out to a place and then there is a big cluster in your head and you just want one of them to die off or just disappear. That has never happened to me because I don’t fall in love at first sight because I refuse to and I never happened to me. But whom I to say that I wont fall in love at first sight. Because like I said before it is all luck. So that is what I think of this quote.

You could find someone at the age of 14 that you would want to be with you for the rest of your life, and maybe when your older you might find someone else. I've seen immature relationships with my one friend who wants to date every boy under the sun and I thin, its crazy because many people want to date people with good looks rather than how they act.

It is not possible because you probably don't know a single thing about them. You should be in love somebody because your in love with them, not because you need them.

He totally forgets Rosaline even exists. That's how much he feel in love with her. There families are rivals but there true love can only bee separated by death. The first time they meet the kiss. That's how much they are in love. What Romeo was feeling for Rosaline was immature love. Juliet's dad is a rival of Romeo's family but he likes Romeo. Juliet was supposed to marry another person but she likes Romeo better. Juliet's mom wants her to marry a man named Paris because he has money.

But I also think that if it really is real it should not matter how old or mature you are. If you love somebody because you need them it could still be real love because the person you need is always there for you. Nobody can tell someone they are not in love because they can feel the same thing. I think there is not age where love becomes real. Which is true because some kids say that they really love someone but they think that. That person might not know what love is until they become older. Only when some one gets older they become more mature with their love.

But if you really don't know a bunch about them and you get information from your friends about them your not really in love. You should never love somebody if you need them for something it's not really love. In the book we are reading Romeo and Juliet, they see each other at a dance and they rich each others hands. Then they kiss each other and fall in love before they even know their namespace anything about them. They aren't really in love . At the end Romeo kills him self because he things she is dead but she wasn't. So then she wakes up and kills her self.

They make you love them to the point where you want them in your life. You don't want them, you want what they do for you. An example of immature love would be if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend and you feel obligated to say I love you because you only want them in your life for the purposes to brag about it. You feel the need to have someone be your "other half". Not because you actually love them, but because you love how they are there to fill an empty space. For me, I was dating this guy that told me sweet things that made fall in love with his words, but not his actions. He made me feel special, and I loved him because of it. How he treated me as though I was different. He filled a space in my life that was empty, and I realize that now.

They are your other half and that's why you need them because you love them so much. An example of this would be Romeo and Juliet. They couldn't stand the thought of living without each other, they were truly and deeply in love. They risked their lives to see each other at the risk of their families finding out. When their families feud stopped them completely, they died for each other. They wanted to be together no mater what, even if it was in their death beds. Their love for each other ran deeper than anyone could imagine.

As the quote says immature love says I love you because i need you when saying this it tells us that immature love is when you love someone so which means you need them. But mature love is when you need someone which leads you to love them. For example, when you're younger and date, most of the time those relationships don't last. There is more of a possibility that older peoples relationships will last then younger relationships. Love is a strong word. You cant just say it to anyone, you have to really mean it.

But immature love is when you just when you take love for granted and just date to date. You should never date anyone just because you want a boyfriend/girlfriend for no reason. At least feel a little bit of care for them. Romeo and Juliet is mostly about love. But in my opinion i think there love is immature love. With Romeo he loved Rosaline but once he saw Juliet he forgot Rosaline right away. He thought he was in love with Rosaline and then instantly he thought he was in love with Juliet. Thats immature love, if he really loved Rosaline he wouldn't forget her after just seeing another girl. Also i think there love is immature because they supposedly fell in love by first sight. But love at first sight does not exists. I agree with Carly, when we were younger we did not take love as seriously back then, but as we get older we take it more serious then we did in the past. Immature love is when you say you love someone you are really saying you need them and can't handle yourself without them. Mature love is when you say you need them you say you love them. As confusing as that might have sounded I will try to make it sound easier to read. Mature love is when needing someone one you know what true love is and want to get out of the friend zone. Immature love is like the one Romeo and Juliet scene that we were describing during class. Romeo completely forgot about Rosaline after his eye caught Juliet, before you know it they say they are in love with each other and it hasn't even been five minutes.

Immature and Mature love can be related to Romeo and Juliet in a scene in the book that we were reading in class. In one scene, Romeo saw Juliet and his eyes were only on her and he completely forgot about Rosaline. Romeo seemed to act like player. He came to the dance to meet Rosaline but after seeing Juliet in the distance, Romeo didn't even think about Rosaline and focused on Juliet. This is an example of Immature because they didn't even know each other for less than five minutes and they already fall in love with each other.

While mature love says that I need you because I love you to me that part if the quote means to me that those people need you in their lives because they love that you are always there for them. Also, it is saying that when immature people fall in love they really just want somebody to just be with like they need somebody to show off to to their friends. But mature love people say that they need someone because they love them means that they truly and sincerely love that person because they need them, it is like they cant survive without that person. Think of it as this, if you aren’t with that person then you aren’t the same, it is like missing half of your self without that significant person. To me I think to love someone you have to know the feeling of losing someone that is special and dear to you. Love is where you enjoy actually being around the person not where there as your trophy guy or girl. Love is when you deeply and sincerely care about someone to the point of you being with someone else is irrelevantly inevitable.

Immature relationships need each other to help one another and for that reason they love each other. Mature relationships love each other and since they are in love with each other, they need each other. Without each other their life wouldn't, be complete basically. They only rely on each other because they love each other whereas, immature love only loves each other because they need each other and thats the difference between mature and immature love. For example in Romeo and Juliet, their love, in my opinion, is immature because they fell in love at first sight and thats not real love in my eyes. Its even more immature because Romeo was apparently in love with a girl before he was “in love” with Juliet. For example, Big Sean once said "When you love yourself. You don't rely on anybody for love and when you don't rely on nobody else for love and you just appreciate their love as a additive, as a bonus to your life then your powerful" This basically means you shouldn't have to love someone just because you rely on them, its saying you shouldn't have to depend on anyone to love you or rely on them for anything. The fact of the matter is when you rely on somebody to love you you believe that you need them, when in reality you just want them because they make you feel good about yourself. When you love yourself and don't need anyone to love you then, you can have a mature relationship. So thats pretty much the difference between mature relationships and immature.

What it means to me is that love is just a game to kids but as adults it is much more. In my words it means that teen play with love loosely and adults play it serious. The difference between immature love and mature love is the way they act with each other. Immature love puts you first. For example, a guy might think, “look at my new girlfriend”, and show her off. Mature love is unselfish and puts other people first. Love is a strange feeling that we as humans have in our life. Sometimes you don’t feel it until it hits you out of nowhere. That is where immature and mature love takes place. Also that is where the spilt lies between immature and mature love. For love knows no age you can be young or old there is no limit to love. To compare Romeo love for Rosaline was immature love because when he saw Juliet he completely forgot about her. Romeo started to feel different with Juliet. When Romeo staked Rosalina he did it for himself after he met Juliet he put her first instead. Love is sometimes a game of who is right for you but you will know when it hits you.

They're saying I need you in my life because I love you. It may not be a physical need like helping out it may be you need them in your life to be happy. Mature love says " I need you because I love you". I think that means that since you love the person than you may need them in your life. If you love someone so much you need to have them in your life. There are many differences between mature love and immature love. One difference is that immature love is saying that they need them in their life just because they love them. Mature love is saying they love the person so they need them in their life. I personally like mature love more because you may spend your life with that person if you're serious about it. Immature love is just kind of saying I love you so I need you.

I think this quote means that people who are older know what true love is. Going for the younger kids who say they love each other but it really is not true. Like the quote says I love you because I need you. That means that just because you have a boy friend or girl friend and you say you love them, its because that's what is expected. This quote means that you love them because you need them. But a more mature person needs somebody because they love them. Without that love you wouldn't need them. But because that feeling of need of them in your life, that's why you love them.
ReplyDeleteI think that this quote relates to what we are learning. The love of romeo and Juliet in this case. Its between the man, romeo, and a not so mature woman, Juliet. She is only 13. But in a way this is a mature love relationship. This is because romeo is older and knows what true love is. But for being a 13 year old girl, she is mature. So the type of love between the two is mature. They met for like 2 minutes and were kissing each other at a party. Juliet said she was never going to get married, but when she kissed him, it was for sure. They needed to be with each other for the rest of their lives. And that is what the love came from.
