"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein
*What do you think this quote means? What does it mean to
you personally?
*Give an example from your own life when you have seen
yourself or someone else experience this.
"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein this quote means that no matter what race or what religion we are both as are smart as we are dumb. In to kill a mockingbird Atticus tells them not to call a black person a nigger. This shows that he believes that all people are even and that no matter what we all have a chance to be the greatest at what we do no matter what your race or religion. If you look back at our history many of the best athletes are African American like cassius clay also known as muhammad ali. He never let his race put him down and always won and never listened to when people called him things. Malcom x didn't belive people when they called him a dumb nigger but he still was one of those smartest men. We can't just let our eyes just judge people.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the religion. That's a very smart topic you chose. It fit the quote really well. Good job carlos
DeleteI like how you interperated this quote. I would have never thought about the quote this way. You have a very unique perspective. I think you did a great job and keep up the unique point of view.
Deletei definitely agree. great job i like how you put that in your own words.

ReplyDeleteAs all wise quotes are said by wise people, perhaps Albert Einstein is one of those people. He has said a quote a lot of people think about back then and still now, and what he said was. "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." ‘We are all equally wise’ I think he was trying to get the point across that everyone is equal we all have equal decisions that affect our life in a positive and or a negative way. I feel he was trying to show people he didn't think he was better because we all know he was one smart person, but so are other people around the world. Him being the genius he was probably didn't want people thinking they were lower in education and learning then him. At one point in time he’s definitely made not so wise choices such as me,or anyone else in the world. We all are equally wise meaning we make good choices we make bad ones, which leads into ‘Equally foolish’. We all can be foolish at times, sometimes more people than others. But we all make foolish actions, anyone who says they never have they’re lying don't listen to them. So coming to a conclusion with what I think can be he didn't want people to feel less educated around him we all have equal wiseness, and we all can make mistakes being foolish. A example from my life can be for example in school. People strive for good grades and higher ranked classes to get the title “smart”. It is not how smart you are to be in those classes its how fast you grab something and can learn it you’re moving at a faster pace. The people in B track classes have the same amount of wiseness they just learn things slower. Being in a higher up class does not i feel make you any smarter than kids in lower track classes. We all are foolish someone in an Honors class can make the same mistake a kid in a lower ranked class. Its not about how much how fast you learn something. We are all equally good and bad at making choices. Hence why Albert has said this quote he’s made choices that affected him in negative and positive ways. But Albert Einstein was pretty kicking smart nobody can compete with that.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Breonna. We all can make equal decisions that can effect our lives wither it be in a positive or negative way. I also agree with you that I think Albert Einstein was trying to show people he did not think he was better then anyone because he was smart. He probably thought everyone could be good and smart in there own ways.
DeleteI agree with what you are saying BReonna. you can be smart in something but you cant be smart in everything. But maybe if you friend is smart in something they can help out in understanding something better.
DeleteI agree with you 100%. Just because you are smart at one thing doesnt mean you are smart at everything. That is why if you are smart in one subject and your friend is smart in another you guys can work together to get good grades and you both can pass.
DeleteI think the quote We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." by Albert Einstein means that we all have are good and bad moments at things. Another thing I think it means is just because someone one is not good or not smart at one thing does not mean they wont be good or smart at another thing. A better way too put this is, is that some people have better strengths at certain things and weaknesses in other things. A example is lets say your really bad at math your grades are usually always low in math your in a low class level for math and overall just really not good at it. That does not mean your not going to be a good at a other subject. Lets say that subject is History you could be like the Albert Einstein of the class in History even though in math you have D's and just get by. So you would have a strength in History but a weakness it Math. Another example of this quote is you could be a great basketball player and your able to make shots with ease but you could be a horrible baseball player and your never able to hit the ball. Your strength would be basketball and your weakness would be baseball. A final example is lets say your the worst checkers player in your town but your also the best chess player in your town. Your strength would be Chess your weakness would be checkers. I can relate this quote to my life because just like everyone one else I am better at certain things and worse at others. A example of this is I have always been really good at Science especially Biology and Astronomy. I usually always get a grade around 95 to 100 in my Biology class on everything I even got a 115 on my first test of the year in biology and my final grade was over 100. I also have a weakness though and that weakness is usually English. This year I have managed to keep good grades in my English class but most years I don't really do so good I failed English almost every year of Elementary school which is bad and I failed the NJ ASK part of English every year other then 8th. So my Strengths is Science and my weakness is English. I also have strengths in History and weaknesses in math but again I have been able to keep all my grades this year in the A B level.
ReplyDeletenice job your amazing at the blogs cant wait for next weeks.
DeleteI agree with you completely. We all are equal.. Nobody is better than the other. This is what everyone should think.
DeleteI think this means that everyone can be smart like he was if they truely want to. like me i was not really that good at math and reading ut now i just found out that my math teacher has made me do advanced math problems the whole year and im way way better at reading oh and spelling. I used to be in all low classes now im in all higher classes and going up in science again yeah im going into a track chemistry. The reason im doing so well is because i really really wanted it and the only way to get it was through change and that ment getting out of my comfurt zone. But that was all worth it because i feel like i can do anything.and everything. One big key way to get better is dont dout your self dont put your head on the block before you even attempt anything. Self dout is the biggest obbstical in everyones way even the most famous people dout them selves but you have to over come it and just relax and do what you got to do. And everyone makes mistakes even the prows like Albert Einstien he wasnt good at math in highschool but now look at him he was one of the smartes people in history he even made a famous formula e=mc2 was probablly the most famous formula. And look at the sea hawks coach who made the worst call in football history and he could have won but that one call sqrewd it all up. What hes saying is everyone can do great and everyone can make mistakes even the best of the best they even made a song about it its called im only human remember that your only human your not batman whos basicaly a god that dosent mean dont try you should always give it your all even if its something none important like taking a test that dosent count. You should always try even if you have no shot at least you gave it your all.
ReplyDeleteGood job at doing better! And I completely agree with everything you put in your blog. Very nice job!
DeleteI agree with you Jake! don't bring yourself down your good at so many things. don't let doubt bring you down you can do anything if you put your mind to it .
Delete“We are all equally wise and equally foolish.” Albert Einstein when I looked up this quote I found another version that starts with, “Before God, we are all equally wise-and equally foolish.” The meaning of this quote seems to be a lot like some of the others we have covered. We are born with great talent, which we need to discover in ourselves, yet we also have foolishness and can be our own worst enemy. When you add the “before God” to the quote, it seems to infer that despite the fact that some of us like to fell that we are above the rest ,in God’s all knowing eyes, we are equal. As a teen, it is a real challenge to get to know and believe your wisdom because everything is changing and the way you think about things changes as you mature. It is also tempting to go down the foolish road and try things or think things that you know are quite right for you just to experiment or because or peer pressure. This is certainly a time when the equal parts of wisdom and foolishness are at war. The example in my life is my shyness. This “foolishness,” as some might see it, gets in the way of my wisdom everyday. It keeps me from speaking up in a group, joining things and making new friends. The wise part of me would like to raise my hand more, be more confident in my answers, flirt, and loosen up more. But it is the other equal part or “foolishness” that gets in the way-especially at this age. I see others with equal parts fighting different battles, but battles all the same. Alex Rodriguez, the Yankee baseball player has been one of the greats. He worked hard, rose to the top of his field, and had true talent. The foolishness that got in the way was his nee to use illegal drugs to get better or stay at the top, and to lie about it. This went against all his wisdom and caused him to lose his legacy in the sport I do agree that all of us have this wisdom and foolishness in equal amounts. Some of us learn to discover and nurture one and manage the other. Others face a life long struggle with both.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this weeks blog. It was an awesome one. I like it where you said we were born with great talents. And I liked how you mention Alex Rodriguez and how he's the best but chose to do something stupid
Delete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." from Albert Einstein has very strong
ReplyDeletemeaning. What I think he's trying to say is that we all are equal. that everyone in the world was created equal. and that no body should be treated un fair. and no matter what race you are that it shouldn't hold you back from becoming the best. we make good choices and there are the times where we make the dumbest choices we can make. but that doesn't make us any different from anybody, because there are other people that make the good decisions and then there are some where we don't make the best decisions . we all make foolish decisions but like I said it doesn't make us any different we are still humans. but we are the ones that make the decisions. if someone says that they are better then others or that they are the best at some sport they are lying. because there are others that have the same ability that they have. and where he says were ' equally foolish' he means that we make decisions that others so too. everyone in the world has made a dumb decision in there life. No body's perfect and no one will. we all are going to make mistake in our life's. but that is what life is. like in kill a mocking bird Atticus says not to call him a nigger. but that's because he believed that no matter what color skin you have that you should be treated equally. just because you have a different color skin doesn't mean you are not human , your still the same but you just have different looks then others. but that should be like that everyone should just treat everyone right, and treated with equal rights, and have respect for on another. because the blacks went through bad times. being neglected by a white. or being made fun of, or treated terrible just because the color of their ski. like that is dumb there still humans. and if you look there are a lot of African American's that have became a awesome player in sports and became role models.

Delete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein This quote is actually a really good quote because Albert Einstein is saying that anyone can be smart and foolish at the same time. Its the just the way you handle things and if you are mature enough to do so For example, if your in school I don't think anyone would mind if you talked and goofed around if you got your work done. It shows how mature you are. Also if you get your stuff together it shows if you can handle certain types of things in life. Its is kinda like multitasking. This can relate to me in a lot of ways. In school I am one of those people that can talk but do there work at he same time. Its basically if you paying attention or not. I remember in 8th grade my lass was soooo talkative and no one got there work done but I always did. But because most of the class couldn't that I couldn't.
ReplyDeleteI agree with how you explained this quote Anna. By saying some people can be foolish but smart. I think you looked at it in a different way of comparing it to multitasking and that explain how this quote got across to you. But, again I do believe if you do talk and act goofy you can still get your work done. It just depends on how bad you actually want to try to pass the class you are taking then you will get all the work done.
Delete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein. Theis quote means many things. One thing this quote means is that evryone can be smart at some piont in there life. And everyone could be foolish at some piont in there life. Even if you dont get good grades in school doesnt mean you arent smart. Eventually once in your life you will have to make a good decision that will benifit you in a way. You may make the wrong decision at times but not everytime are you supposed to make the right decision. Making the wrong decision helps you learn on what not to do the next time you are in that spot again. Then you will make a smart decision in life. Just because you get staight A's in class doesnt mean that you will always get a good grade on something. Failing is a part of life and everyone does it. It is what makes the world go round and round.
ReplyDeleteWhen you fail at something you will learn a lesson on how not to fail the next time it happens to you. One way this quote relates to me is that when i started to bad in my class i noticed that i would have to take that class again if i failed it. So i tried my hardest so i could not fail. I didnt fail at the end so i was really happy. One lesson i learned is that i have to try hard on everything so i am not in that situation again.
DeleteWhat Albert Einstein meant by “We are all equally wise, and equally foolish” was that as smart as we could be, we might not always make the brightest decisions. It is not a bad thing because everyone does make mistakes and that is just a part of life. We are all smart and foolish in our ways that makes us different from everyone else. It forms the personality of each individual that we see every day and makes them the person who they are. Some people may only use being wise over being foolish or being foolish over being wise. For example, there could be a football player who cares about pranking people and not focused on grades. On the other hand you could be a straight A student who focuses on school and takes the time to take time and do the best on as many assignments as possible. We all make wise choices in our life, but maybe sometimes the decisions could be foolish or even ridiculous. There have been times where I have been really wise in times of needs and foolish in bad times. One wise thing I did this year was in World Cultures when we had a upcoming test that we had to take involving the features and cultures we learned about in China. The teacher gave us the option to write the essay that was going to be on the test on at home so we would not have to worry about it when we take the test and only have 4 minutes left. When I had to take tests in that class I never wanted to do the essay question at home and just worry about it when I take the test and have that as the last thing to do while I take the test. For the chapter unit on China, I knew that it wasn’t going to be easy and it was going to take a while to finish so I wrote the essay at home to save some time at school for when I take the test the next day. There were other times where I was foolish like not doing the essay for previous tests that I did in the World Culture’s class. When I didn’t decide to do the essay at home, I would have to ask for more time to finish every time. There can be times in your life where you feel wise and other times where you can be not the brightest or maybe even foolish. Thank you for the support in my essay
ReplyDeleteGood job with blog #19. I agree with most of it. I like most of the examples you gave to support the main idea i think i could have seen better but it is still good. Good job
DeleteI like your blog and I agree with most of your comments Shane. I agree that we all are smart but sometimes make bad decisions and it is nature we are all human another thing you said was that we all are smart and foolish in our separate way and that is what makes us who we are. I 100% agree that no two people can be the same –not even twins. Another great point you made was some choose wise over foolish. They know the right thing but they don’t do it and it will probably cost them later. I liked your example to do the China essay at home instead of the rest of the times in class. I think it would be a good idea to do every essay at home if your teacher allows this. I enjoyed your blog and I honestly believe wideness and foolishness are things we all need in life.
ReplyDeleteAlbert Einstein once said, "we are all equally wise, and equally foolish." I think this quote means that everybody is smart and advanced in their own way. But, everyone makes mistakes or bad decisions in their life times. You could be a complete and utter genius, but no matter what, everyone, at some point in their life, makes some sort of poor decisions in their lives. It's simply a part of being a human being and it's something that everybody goes through at one point or another. Another thing I think he wanted to point out is that we all have goof and bad qualities no matter what race, religion we practice, where we come from, or ever what we do for a living. Everybody is their own person and nothing is going to stop you for being you. No matter who somebody is, they can be smart and they can be foolish. Their race, religion, profession, and hometown have nothing to do with their intelligence. Everyone has their strong points and their weaknesses. Everyone just has different ones. That's what makes us all human.
ReplyDelete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein I think this means we all share the same type of knowledge. At the same time, we all have the same amount of foolishness. We all make mistakes, it isn't possible for someone to be perfect and not make any mistakes. Yet, we all have those moments when we are smart, smarter than others at times. But than at other times, they may be smarter than us. Even if you are super athletic and think your superior because of that, you still make mistakes. Even the best basketball player in the world cant make every shot. We all have our off nights when we just fail on everything we try, than we have those nights when we seem unstoppable. I have experienced this with my friends numerous of times. One time we were playing a video game it was NBA2K15 or call of duty, and he absolutely destroyed me in both games. In NBA I lost by 15 points that game. The next game I blew him out by 25. Maybe it was I picked a better team this time than the time before. We will next know, but we realize nobody is perfect. In call of duty, I lost by like 30 in a game when we went 1 on 1. Next game I won easy. Maybe I picked a better gun the 2nd time. We will never really know what happened. But this is where "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein comes in.

ReplyDelete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." This is a quote by Albert Einstein. To me this quote has more than one meaning. One meaning is, that we all the the same things. The only difference is we learn at different paces. That is why there are tracks in school, the the kids that don't absorb knowledge as fast are in the classes that are slower and the kids that can learn fast are in Honors. In the real world today, to get a good paying job you have to look perfect on resume and act very regal and polite. It also means that some people may be good at Math and bad at English or vary smart but not athletic. We are all smart in our own way. Even is you are very good, if you think your better then everyone then you are foolish too. It quote also reminds me that the more you know the less you know. This means that the more you know the less you know by comparison. The smarter you are the more questions you can ask about the world around you and the more you realize you don't know. I think this is also an example of community, in the quote we is man kind and we are very aware about our surroundings we are also equally foolish we are killing the plant. Albert Einstein might have been trying to bring us together though this quote. I think this is a very good quote to live by it makes you realize that other people can be better than you no matter where they come from or who they are.
ReplyDeleteThis quote reminds me of the time I was climbing a steep rocky hill and the closer I got the what I thought was the top the more I realized that it was just a platform on the side of the much taller hill. This is an example of the more you know the less you know. I got to the what I thought was the top of the hill to find out that it wasn't the top. This is also an example of, we are all equally wise and equally foolish. We are one, all equal to each other and all special in our own ways.
I agree with you 100%! I also believe that we are all smart in our owns ways as well foolish.I also agree that this is a very good quote to live by and it helps give you more persepective from other people actions.

ReplyDeleteI think the quote "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein means that we all are equal in our intelligence or our stupidity. Sure some people are smarter and not as smart but we all do have the opportunity to be on the same learning pattern. Some people need extra help and that okay, I am one of those kids who need extra help when it comes to some subjects but i try to not give up. I give up at some points but i have someone here for me to help me get my grades back onto the right path. Everyone has an equal opportunity to all the learning necessities they need and to people to give extra help. We all have our smart and dumb days. Some are better and worse then others but you just cant give up.
ReplyDelete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein
ReplyDeleteI think this quote means everyone in the world is equal and makes bad decisions a couple times in there life time. Also it could mean everyone is special in there own way. I can relate this to me because i have plenty of bad decisions in my whole life a lot of times for example failing some of my classes, getting introuble in school. Also "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein could also mean everyone is foolish and wise in the same way because everyone doesnt think the same pr have the same thoughts for example sometimes i dont have the same thoughts as my friends or family. I can relate this to the world because everyone is different in there own way beacuse everyone is not the same or looks the same or thinks the same. There is plenty of ways to describe this blog but i think that it means everything i wrote at the top this is what i think about the blog- "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein
"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein. in my opinion this quote is false. I think that because I know we all have our "dumb moments" and I know a lot of people who ARE "dumb moments" I agree with the part that we all have our "moments" when we screw up but we are not all equal with that. I have some friends that literally every other word they say is something foolish. I don't know anyone who only says wise words though. I don't think there is anyone that ever existed that haven't ever said one dumb thing. Confucius probably had many foolish moments in his life but we only recognize the highlights of him. and if you mess up a lot people will start to recognize the lowlights of you even more then your highlights. in my opinion, that quote is half right because everyone has their dumb moments but some people have more dumb moments.
ReplyDelete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein. To me this quote means that everyone has the capability to be smart and wise. Every person could be equally as smart. Some my have to try harder than others but everyone can be equally as smart or skilled in everything. Some things my come quicker some may take longer. Also it says that we are all foolish. That means that we all have weaknesses, some are different than others but we all have them. He says that if you don’t believe that everyone is smart in there own way then you are stupid. Everyone is different and have different talents if you do think people don’t have talents your wrong. Every one is good at something some haven’t found it yet others have. For the people who haven’t found their talent your time hasn’t come yet it you will find your talent it just takes the right moment. Everyone has a talent and everyone has a talent that does well to the world. If you don’t think you have a talent your foolish, everyone is here to share there amazing. That’s what I think this quote means.
ReplyDeleteA time in my life this applies to in my life is with music. I can read music and play clarinet only 7 % of the world can do this and its crazy. Most people cant do that and I ca do it with almost no problems. People would be a fool if they didn’t realize the talent musicians have how hard it is to play the instruments read music. People don’t realize how many factors go into it, there’s pitches fingering tempo dynamics sharps flats time and key signatures and many more. It’s so cool that I get to do something like this. I can also swim that’s a talent I have that requires so much work and effort. Each practice we swim at least 2 miles and we practice 6 days a week. It takes a lot to do that and not everyone can handle that much work. Swim works every muscle in your body and if your not used to this intense workout you will hurt. I think it’s amazing that I can handle and do these things and other people cant. This is how this quote relates to me .
Albert Einstein once said, "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish.” my interpretation of this quote is that sometimes we are both wise with our wishes and foolish with our demand. For example we need a deeper meaning to our presence in everyday life. We choose to have friendships with people with similar interest. We are passionate about things in our lives. Including sports and and friendship. We also have a conscience which tells us right from wrong and this is what balances us in our relationship with our selves and others. This is what makes us choose from doing the right thing or the wrong. As we all know it is wise to show kindness to others and do well for your family, friends and school work. As our conscience mind helps us to remain wise.
ReplyDeleteOn the other had the interpretation of the quote from Albert Einstein states “and equally foolish”. This means to me that some time we find our self in temptation. Sometimes it may be easier to go with the flow or the crowd of kids. This can lead us into to trouble verses standing up to do the right thing. Therefore doing the foolish thing and taking the easy way out verses doing what is right verses wrong.
An example of Albert Einstein’s quote, “We are all equally wise, and equally foolish”, in my life is when I took my dog for a walk at Double Trouble State Park. We took the Cranberry bog path and it started to get dark. I should have been prepared myself better and brought a flashlight with me at the time. My dog would run off leash with me and my family. Then all of sudden my dog took off on a scent and I became scared. I knew it was wise to let him run with me but then when I took him off his leash I realized then it could become dangerous and I could have lost my dog. When I called to him and gave him the command to “leave it”, he listened and came back to me. I soon released him and have been more careful with him since this time at Double Trouble State Park. I also now remember to go before dusk as I will have sunlight and be more careful with my dog. As I do not want to be equally foolish when it comes to my dog.
There are thought to be two people in this world. There are thought to be the more envoled and intelligent humans and the other degenerates and foolish people. My thoughts on this agree with the quote of the German mathtician and scientist Albert Einstein , "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." I believe this quote means that we are all humans and we are equally wise and foolish. No one is better than another or worst. We all make mistakes and we all have a impressive moment in our lives. We are born equal and will experience simalliar moments and situations.
ReplyDeleteI have many examples in my life that can support Albert Einstein quote. I remember I saw this kid that always made not so smart decisions so i thought he wasnt the brightest kid out there. He would hang out with the kids that constantly got in trouble and did stupid things. This pre-judgement was complete false when i started to get to know him. He was actually really intelligent and taught me a thing or two. I relieazed that I might do things that stupid in his eyes. But when you get right down to it we are all humans are we are equals despite the mordern thought of all of us being different from one another.
