"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein
*What do you think this quote means? What does it mean to
you personally?
*Give an example from your own life when you have seen
yourself or someone else experience this.
"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein. As we all know Albert Einstein was a very smart man. In my opinion when he said this I believe he meant that everyone Is equally as smart as everyone else, but at the same time we all make dumb mistakes. Let's face it nobody's perfect! I mean you may think you are but you're really not, and neither am I. Just because you get good grades doesn't mean that you're smarter then the person sitting next to you who gets b's and c's. You just might try harder in school then that person, but you have the same skill sets. To me personally though it means that not everyone's gonna grow up to be a genius but that doesn't mean you're stupid. Also, no one is going to make the right decisions in life when everything starts to hit the fan. A real life example of this quote is when I was in the championship game for a hockey tournament. The defense pinched and tried to get the puck but missed. So there was one defensemen back and I was the back checker. They were going down 2 on 1, 2 guys on our 1 defensemen. So I hurried back to the other guy and got to him. The defense took the other man into the boards. As soon as he was pinched off, he passed it right to my man. So my decision was to lift his stick and make him not catch the pass. This was the right decision for this moment. I did so and he didn’t catch that pass. The puck deflected off of his skate and near our goalie. We both fell and there was no hurry from my team to get back and help out. They had another man coming hard. So I tried to get up quick enough so he couldn’t score. I did so but accidentally tripped him. I got a penalty and he got the penalty shot. There was 3 minutes left in the game when this happened. He went down and scored making the score in favor of them. That was one of my worst decisions I ever had in hockey. They won the game and it was all my fault. I always try not to look back at that game. But at first I made the right decision, but soon after I was foolish and messed up.
ReplyDeletegood blog bro, man i hope i get an 100 for this comment
DeleteI also agree with your blog. I find it interesting that you play hockey.
Deletei believe that the wuote by Albert Einestein "You are equally wise, and equally foolish". means that anyone can be smart and good at things but they can be bad at other things which dosent make them perfect and i believe theres a deeper message on how that if your not smart and foolish on something then maybe theres someone that you can become friends with or get close to that will be smart in the area and you both can learn off of eachother's knowledge in areas that one does not know but the other does.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you are saying you can be smart in something but you cant be smart in everything. But maybe if you friend is smart in something they can help out in understanding something better.
DeleteI totally agree with what you are trying to explain. Everyone is equal but at the same time everyone could help each other out and get better in what you are not good at. In which I mean everyone can help people out.
Delete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." Once said by Albert Einstein. This quote could have many different means to different people. But to me this quote means that you can know a lot but u also don’t everything. For example I might not be as smart as someone else but I could know about something he doesn’t and he could know something I don’t and we can look like a fool when we don’t know it or wise when we do know it. No one knows everything and no one ever will, we all have are moments when we look like a complete idiot. But there is also those other moments where we look like the smartest guy in the room. Like say a philosopher and a clown were in a room and someone asked you who you thought was smarter, of course you would say the philosopher. They would say that cause they ae known to be wise and you know clowns are known as fools. But then if the guys asks both the clown and philosopher and the clown answers the question correctly and the philosopher doesn’t. Then the philosopher looks like the clown and the clown looks like the philosopher. Just one thing you say can make you from the smartest guy in the room to the fool.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the time when I was in science class last year. We were learning about the periodic table and she kept asking us questions on it. Are book was open to it and the teacher was asking us what this letter was. Every one she said I knew without looking but I didn’t answer any. Then she goes Rachel what is B on the periodic table and I go Beryllium but that’s really Be and B is Boron and I was the only one to get one of those questions wrong and I looked like a complete idiot cause the book was right in front of my face. So I became the fool. Also last year I never answered anything in my math class and I would never tell anyone what I got on any of my test. So everyone thought I was really dumb but I reality I was one of the smartest person in that class and got A’s on every test. So one day my Math teacher gave an award to 5 people in the class if they could solved a tough equation and I was the first one done and got it right. Then I looked like the wise one in the class. So it just goes to show, sometimes you are the fool and other times you are the wise one.
I agree with your response. I agree that people should be equal. I had the exact same thing in my head. Albert Einstein is a great inspiration. Keep up the good work!
DeleteYou did really well this week you should keep up the good work. And keep giving the great examples you have been, like in this comment.
Delete"We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein Is a very sensational quote. What i think it means is even if you think your perfect your not. Everyone can be as foolish as each other. If your in the same grade as your friend you could be as smart as him if you tried. Just because someone is in a different kind of class does not mean your actually dumber or smarter than that one individual it just means you didn't try or the other person did not try. A lot of my life people have told me im stupid, retarded, and one person in my old school told me i was mentally challenged, after that i punched him in the face and got suspended because he hurt me in a mentally kind of way. I have failed classes and that's why i was called those names. But i realized i just wasn't putting my all out. I was failing because i wasn't trying as hard as the kids who wanted to pass. All the kids who called me names and all the other things are failing because their not trying anymore. I can relate to this quote "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein a lot.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your comment. No one is perfect even if you think you are. You can do just as well as anyone else. All you have to do is prove it by trying your absolute hardest.
DeleteA wise man, named Albert Einstein, once said, "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." This could mean many different things to many different people. It could mean something good or something bad. What I think it means is everyone is equal, no matter how you put it. No one is different, maybe in image, but other than that everyone is the same. There are similarities between all of us. That is why we should all have the same rights. The world should be equal since most of us are equally wise and equally foolish according to Albert Einstein. We shouldn’t be in a world of racism and sexism. We should have equal rights and power. The only thing that is stopping us is the government and us in general. We should all be equal in the sense of this world. No one should not have more right than others. Everyone should have the same equal power and rights. The world should not be like this. That is what I think Albert Einstein was trying to explain when he says, “We are all equally wise, and equally foolish.”
ReplyDeleteIf I had to compare this to something I have experienced, I would compare it to the 20th century. This is when segregation started to rise. All of the blacks were hated by the whites. The whites had more rights than the blacks. The blacks were treated horribly and were not equally treated. It got so bad to the point where blacks and whites had to attend different schools, drink from different water fountains, use different restrooms, and many more conspiracies. The whites had so much more power than the blacks. If the blacks did something wrong, they were instantly punished. If you were told to move your seat on the bus, you did it instantly or you were arrested. Most blacks were blamed for things that they did not do. It was very unfair for the blacks back in the 1900s. That is why I am glad it has changed to what it is today. Yeah, there are still things that can be changed to make things equal, but it is still better than what it already was. That is what I think Albert Einstein was trying to explain when he says, “We are all equally wise, and equally foolish.”
We are all equally wise, and equally foolish,” was said by Albert Einstein. I think this quote means that everyone is just equal. People can say they are way smarter than someone but really it is only because they would try harder than others to get to where they want to be. The person that says they are smarter may be smart but they just try than most kids. The other person that thinks they are dumb really isn’t. They just aren’t putting the time to get where they are supposed to be. I believe no one is stupid you just cannot be lazy. When you are lazy you gave up and will just set yourself up to look dumb. And when it says foolish I think it means that no matter how wise you can be you will always do something stupid. People say they are perfect and smarter than anyone else but really everyone knows that’s not true. At one point in everyone’s life they made a mistake. It isn’t fair for the people they think they are smarter than the other people to make fun of them. They can be just as smart as them if they tried the way the other people did. This quote can be important in many ways. People need to learn that everyone is the same it is just the way you want to be. Meaning if you want to try or if you want to sit there and do nothing because you are too lazy. When I read this quote I thought about my math class. Im not saying im smarter than the other people but I put more effort into the work than others. They say they are dumb but they aren’t. If they actually took the time to listen to what the teacher said then they wouldn’t think they are dumb. They would sit there and not pay attention and when it comes to the classwork they have no idea what is doing on. But when the teacher asks them about a problem they get it. Once they pay attention and show they care about their grade then they wouldn’t look less smart than anyone else. Everyone in that class is equal we can be wise and we can be foolish. It doesn’t matter what they do but try.
ReplyDeleteA wise man once said "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish". This man was Albert Einstein. I think this quote means that at the bottom of everything all people are the same. We all have the potential to be really smart or really dumb. If we make an effort to learn about something or get better at something than we can be smart and better. If we don't make that effort than we won't get smarter and we won't improve ourselves. He could also mean it much like the quote about not judging a fish on its ability to climb a tree. He is saying that everybody is smart in some ways and dumb in others and that we shouldnt judge people based on the things they are dumb about. For example somebody could be really good at and know a lot about sports but not be very good at school, while another person could be very good at school and have a lot of knowledge about that sort of thing, but they not be very good at or know a lot sports. This doesnt make one of them any smarter or dumber than the other because they are smart and foolish in different ways. I can relate to this personally because im in classes that are considered "dumber" than the other classes like A track and honors. But the B track kids arent dumb its just that a lot of them dont try as hard or care as much as the kids in higher tracks. We all have the ability to be in higher tracks because like the quote says we are all equal. But because we dont try as hard we dont get into the higher tracks. So i think it all depends on how hard you try to be good at something or to get smarter. If you dont try hard you wont be smarter or better even though you have the same potential to be smart or good than anybody else. It all just depends on how much you care and how hard you want to try. this quote is saying that you shouldnt be lazy and you should try because you can be smart if you want to be. however some people just are naturally bad at some things so i think it also is saying that you should appreciate people for the things they are good at while also knowing that they are bad at some things. nobodies perfect and we are all equal in how smart and dumb we are.
ReplyDeleteAlbert Einstein once said, "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." what I think the quote means is everyone is equal. That is the basic message of the quote that Albert Einstein said in confidence. No matter how high of a power or poor the person everyone has special quality and no one is less or more. That is not how it should be in life and should be changed so that everyone is equal. To me personally he is saying no one can be considered greater or dumb and everyone has their own star qualities even with men or women. Everyone plays a role in society and has a calling for greatness. Someone can be considered great because of how they were brought up through their life but could have an even greater dark side of them. So no matter how small or big the person is were are all equal. In life everything takes courage and effort. So, even if you are poor or are rich it depends on the risks and steps you take and the personality to choose and so everyone has equal qualities. in the years of racism all whites disliked and hated the blacks because they thought they were less of people. But in the end everyone was considered equal they way it should have been throughout. They shouldn't be considered bad just because they are colored.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your response. No one is dumb because we all have special qualities that no one else probably has.

ReplyDeleteAlbert Einstein once said "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." What I think this quote means is that everybody is smart and no one is dumber then anybody else. We all make mistakes sometimes and that's ok because that's part of life. In society, rich people think that they are better then everyone else just because they are rich. It doesn't matter because we are all human and shouldn't judge anyone just because of how poor people are. People sometimes call each other stupid when they really aren't stupid. Everyone is special in there own way and you shouldn't let people tell you how stupid you are because your equally better as them. That's what I think the quote, "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." means.
The quote "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." -Albert Einstein means that we have our foolish moments at times. Also, it means that we are all equally wise in our own ways. Some people chose to fool around in class. That’s a foolish chose. Then sometimes they change there ways and do the right thing and act right in class. That’s how you become wise. This quote means to me that sometimes you make bad decisions. People make mistakes in life. You become wise by doing the right thing and realizing that you need to get things together and do the right thing, To me personally this means that you dont have to be a genius but you have to be appropriate at certain times.
ReplyDeleteOne day one of the most intelligent men that has ever walked on earth has once stated, "We are all equally wise, and equally foolish." That crazy intelligent man was the one and only Albert Einstein. I think this quote means that people can reach the same intellectual level if they try hard enough and study hard enough. And if you make the right decisions along the way. It doesn't have to be on a intellectual level though. It could just be the fact that they know the difference between good and bad. You can be just as smart as Albert Einstein but be on FBI's most wanted list. We could all be equally foolish because every one makes mistakes and slacks off here and there. No one on earth is absolutely perfect. Everyone has done something dumb or felt regret about something really stupid. A smart person would figure out how to get around those situations.
ReplyDeleteThis relates to me because I have done stupid things. And I have done some smart things too. but that makes me a balanced human being. I don't have my head up in the clouds and I don't have my head in bad situations either.
