“Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” A quote said by a man named Stephan Leighton. I think that this quote means that you should go about with a peaceful mind and keep sight of the positive things in life. I, personally, can relate to this quote because I do live a rather tranquil life. I am very humble and I like peace. What Mr. Leighton is saying is that, you should do things from the goodness of your heart and to have pure intentions. When he says love like you’ve never been hurt, he is saying that if you have been scorned, bullied or disrespected in any way, don’t be disrespectful back, be caring and pay no mind to what they have said and done. I came up with a quote myself that has helped me in this situation, that quote is “If the past haunts you, you must haunt the past with the though of the future.” My quote means that if you ever frowned upon by your past, pay no mind to it and live on to the future don’t let your past define who you are. When he says dance like no one is watching, he means to take new heights in life, regardless of what other people say about it. Extend your hand, stand up, be brave, who cares what anyone says about you, if they ridicule you for standing up for what is right, they are the ones who are guilty about themselves and wish they had as much courage as you did. It’s a matter of being right or being wrong, to me at least. I do the best I can to help anyone in a predicament even if the person and I have had a rather rough past. I put our past aside to build an even bigger and brighter future, to walk down a path of good feeling. What this quote is saying is that, you should put all things aside and be selfless. Being selfless means that you put others before yourself in any way possible. You should be the one to extend a helping hand and bring people up rather than put them down. The quote says to go to new heights, regardless of what other people say and or think. You are like the chosen one, go out there and be a hero.

Dance like nobody's watching.” Even though I didn’t wright about it I total agree with you about having a peaceful mind towards life. I can also see u in relief keeping a positive attitude which I something I don’t see a lot of.but anyway nice job!
This quote was said by Stephan Leighton. The quote “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” The quote is so valuable to me that it's like a part of my life. This quote means that you have to do what you can do and more. Also the quote means that you work hard to your fullest potential and beyond that and becoming the best hard working person out there. To me personally I think this quote means to work hard and never give up and always try my best. It also means to not be stopped by obstacles in life and keep moving forward.

This quote basically is intertwined in my life and that is because when I am in dance this quote comes into affect by I do the things I love like no one cares. That's what you have to do with many other things you have to do but you have to do them like you don't care what anyone else thinks. The quote has its affect on me and others like last year I was called a slut for dressing how I did in the talent show I didn't care all I cared about was the fact that I did an almost perfect improved routine. I had done that routine in my head on that stage as I was dancing cause I let the music get in my head instead of the talk and I let the music move me. The thing you have to do is not to listen to all the talk and you have to just do what you love and what you are good at because not everyone is perfect. All those people who say that stuff can't go and do half the things you did. Right after i got home from school after being called that my mother told me that no one would have the courage to do what you got up on that stage and did. When she said this I wanted to cry because she thought I did the greatest job but my self I thought I did horribly and I knew the people weren't right when they called me a slut because they wore less than me daily but I didn't let their words bring me down because I was better then them.

To start of with I think this quote means that you need to do stuff even if your not going to get something out of it. I also think that if you treat someone with enough respect and you weren't then good things will happen to you. This quote resembles how the Jewish people were treated during the Holocaust. I think that the quote means that you shouldn’t always act down and be upset and think negatively. I think the part of the quote that says,” Work like you don’t need the money,” is something that everyone needs to start doing. You have to always think about something or do something even if you are not getting a reward for what you are doing. In this situation I think that it brings back memories to the Holocaust. I think that it reminds us how the Jewish people were working without money and were not expecting to get anything in return. The only thing that the jews were worrying about is if they would be able to go back home. They wanted to make sure they can work hard enough so they can make it through the time they were there. The Jews always worked liked they didn’t need the money because they never needed money. Most of the Jews weren’t focused on getting money they just wanted to get out of the concentration camps they were in. I think that if I was one of the Jews that I wouldn’t be focused on getting paid I would just keep working and hopefully get a good reward out of it. You should also love like you have never been hurt. I think this part means that you should love someone even if you do not know what it feels like not to be loved. You should always love someone even if you have never felt what it feels not to be loved because you shouldn’t be treated like that. The last part of the quote dance like nobody’s watching is very motivational. I think that it means dance to how you want to. Don’t worry about what anyone has to say about it. Dance, love, and live to the fullest. I think that its the best thing any Jew did if they survived during the Holocaust they worked and worked as hard as they could. Therefore, I think the quote," Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching," is a very motivational and an inspirational quote.

Dance like nobody's watching.” This quote has a lot going on with in it however in my opinion I think all the different examples like dancing like nobody’s watching and work like you don’t need the money have the same meaning. And I think that meaning is to live your life for now and not for later. What I mean by this is you should do what you want because who knows when today is your last. A reference I used to here all the time and hate every time I would here it but can relate to Stephan Leighton’s quote is “YOLO” which means you only live once. I brought that up because I think that’s the basic theme of Stephan Leighton’s quote. This quote personally means to me that you should live your life one moment at a time. I also personally think Stephan Leighton’s quote means that you should live your live with no regrets. That is what I think Stephan Leighton’s quote means.

Dance like nobody's watching,” can also relate to not just my own personal life but with everyone’s own life in many ways than one. For example at least once in your life you had some older person tell you to work with what you love. I know for a fact because my mom always says “work with what you love and the money is just a bonus.” However I also personal experienced Stephan Leighton’s quote. One time that comes to mind is when I did my first summer job last summer. I started off very uptight and scared of making one mistake. But my mom later told me to do what I want to do and not do something that would make you up tight. And so I quite that job and worked /at a more fun job and I am happy I made that choice cause that played a major role into making that summer very good. That is how I can personally relate to Stephan Leighton’s quote “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.”

ReplyDelete“Work like you don’t need money” what I think this part of the quote means is that be happy with your work. Not a lot of people get to have jobs because they’re crippled; body doesn’t function, or doesn’t have an education. There are homeless people who wish that they had a job and money so they can buy clothes, food, and even shelter. People struggle on this part of life. So works like you don’t need the money because there are people out there who wish they had what you have. “Love like you never been hurt” What this means to me is that people get hurt because their boyfriend/girlfriend broke up with them. They spend time thinking and thinking what did they do to mess up there relationship. If you spend more time thinking you get hurt more because other thoughts pop in your head and then you think that it was something else that messed up the relationship or something. Whatever it is if you spend more time loving yourself and others like you never been hurt you’ll see the good outlook in life. And notice that every where you go there’s negativity, and that your not by yourself. “Dance like nobody is watching”. What tis means to me is that have a good time while you’re still on this earth. Life’s to short to be worry what other people think about you or how they look at you. Who cares that they think it’s not their life it’s yours. Go out and have fun, because you may never get that opportunity in your life again. So do all the things you wish you can do. If you put your best effort in what you want to accomplish then you can do it. What this quote means to me personally is that do all the things you wish you can do because there are homeless people who doesn’t have money and WISH they did, There are people who WISH that they can love like they never been hurt before, And then there’s people who WIS that they can do stuff without minding what other people think about them. All these things can happen if you just simply follow this quote. Your dream of doing something can actually happen.

I think this means that you can not let people get in your way throughout your life even when times get rough and it may seem like nothing is going your way you have to push through it and overcome what has happened. It may seem rough at the moment but you can't just stop and let obstacles knock you down. I also think this means that be satisfied with what you have done in life some people can't obtain the same job forever or even have kids for certain reasons just be grateful.
ReplyDeleteThis relates to me during sports you want to always play your best and do all the little things right, you never know who is watching you. Maybe a scout or if you're trying out for a team or even are just playing around. You can't just go out their and joke around, you have to put in 110% and work your ass off. If you're born with natural talent don't take it for granted continue to work and become better as a player. Basketball isn't an easy sport even though it seems like it, if you want to be the greatest you have to work the hardest and push yourself to the fullest potential. I wonder what you think this quote means, you should explain one of these quotes and how it relates to you. This quote so far was the hardest to explain and think about that's why it took me so long to post it.

Dance like nobody's watching.” this man who said this quote was no other then Stephan Leighton. this quote is very interesting to me because I heard a lot of my family members say it. I actually never quite understood what it meant. so im going to try to explain what this quote means. I think this quote means is that when it say work like you don't need the money it means work hard so that way you can earn the money. you don't ever want to me a failure in life . that's probably the worst thing in life is to be a failure. so anyways back to my quote as I was saying what Stephen Leighton tried saying was that just do everything casually and don't let nothing stop you from what you want to do. just nonchalantly do what you need to do to get by in life. this quote sort of relates to my life because I act like nobody is stopping me in life. I know there's going to be obstacles in life but im going to go through just like that. and no matter who is watching they better be prepared to be amazed because one day they are going to remember my name. one day I will go to the nfl and after I retire im going to become president. that's when everyone is going to know my name. that's when everyone is going to be watching me. so in the end im the real winner because I ran through obstacles and went to the nfl and will become president and I did all that with me thinking nobody is watching.

ReplyDeleteI think this quote means you should live life how you want to live it and live it as peacefully as you can. Don't let anything get you down, anything current or something that may have taken place in your past. Whether it be a breakup, not enough pay at work, and do what you ever you feel like you need to or what is right to you. Do what you want and do not let anyone or anything influence your decisions especially your own life.
I, myself, have been critiqued by others who don't like to do what I do or just personally don't think it's right or normal to them. I just ignore them and do what I please and ignore the nonsense they try to influence me with. I can listen to any kind of music I want, watch what movies I want or even learn what I want to learn. I don't let people get me down or let them decide what I do in my life.

You shouldn’t care what they think that is what it means by dance like nobodys whatching because if ou care what people think your not going to do and be what you want just because some one has a mean opinion on that. Work like you don’t need the money means that you should love what your doing and not dread it. If you dread what you do then you shouldn’t be doing it. Your going to be doing it for pretty much the rest of your life so you might as well enjoy it. Love like you never been hurt befor means you shouldn’t let your past hold you back from something happening now in the present. That was in the past and that’s their for a reason. That’s their tonjust remind you to learn from your mistakes not haunt you.

I don't know who that is but that's a very inspiring quote, he seems like a cool dude. This basically means to me to be yourself and be positive. If I work I need the money and I don't dance so that's alittle weird but he still seems like a cool guy. I think that it means be yourself and don't let anyone change that, i don't know about anyone else but that's what I think it means. It doesn't relate to me that well because I don't dance and yeah but I always be myself and no one can change that.
