  1. Stephan Leighton once said, “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” At first I didn’t understand how this quote could’ve been interpreted, or explained. After reading this a few times I understood what the meaning of it was, and how I would explain it. The first part, “Work like you don’t need money” I feel like this is focusing on a bunch of people that are very busy. Maybe its focusing to stop working so hard and, take a break to enjoy friends. Sometimes people lose track of working so hard that they don’t have time to enjoy and spend time with family and friends. The second part of the quote saying, “Love like you’ve never been hurt”. Meaning to me, people get hurt, hearts are meant to get broken, or we would never feel hurt. We would never be able to love someone so much, if we aren't hurt. So after reading this part of the quote I think that its like having a first love. Your first love you felt no hate, no sadness all you could feel was love and happiness. BUt eventually you are gonna learn to love someone else and you have to love them like your first love. Where there was not only happiness but just pure love. The last and final part of this quote, which is stating, “Dance like nobody’s watching”. This I thought was the easiest part to have explained. Its basically just telling you to be yourself. Not to care what people think do things, be brave. Sometimes you look “dumb” trying to stand out or be brave but do it like nobody is watching don’t care so much! I feel if everyone listened to this quote so many things could change. A lot of bravery, and love would just be spread around. I personally think i should start living by this quote, because it’s so simple but yet tells so much. People, parents working less like they don’t need money would know their kids better. They would be able to teach them so much, like about wrongs and rights, or life lessons. Also, love the love that would go around because you’re replacing the hurt you feel with love! Bravery would go around, people wouldn’t worry about looking “dumb”! More accomplishments I feel would happen if people didn't care about what others thought of them.

  2. i think this means that you have to live your life even though things get hard time wont stop for you so you have to live your life to the fullest and dont let any one or anything get in your way. life has so many meanings and perpases that you cant count them this means that do something because you want to not because someone wants you to life is like a fraggle little baby if you dont treat it right in the future it will torture you and make you misserable. the choices you make can affect your attitude and your way of looking at the world. people will judge you but that will happen in life alot but you have to be the pockadot in between the stripes thats just me i love to be diffrent it makes me feel like the one and only. you have to be true to who you are because it will make your life worth wild and enjoyable. when i get to be my self i have a great time and it makes me feel great. when im myself i like to make otheres feel better about them selves because it makes me feel good and i dont like it when my friends are upset it makes me upset so i make it my job to make them feel better because i like to see people smile. my friends and family are the most important thing in my life. i dont care what anyone thinks thats why im happy in life and with who iam.

    3. I completely see how you related you related it to yourself, and how you thought what this quote meant. I thought the same about enjoying who you are and make your life worth wild. We only ever live once, and we should live it to the fullest and have a great time. Its good you are happy with who you are cause if you weren't you wouldn't be happy. That's the biggest key of being happy in life is loving yourself and knowing who you are as a person.

  3. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” –Stephan Leighton this quote means to me that not everything you do is about the money you should always do what you feel is right not what people tell you is right. I believe that it also means live life to the fullest because if you let money control you then you won't know true feeling you'll just always be greedy and end up becoming someone else instead of the right person. This reminds me of a quote that states "hapiness is only real when shared with others" this means that you shouldn't want to just become rich because what if you lose yourself as a famous rapper once said "make the money don't let the money make you change the game don't let the game change you " it's obvious that money can change who you are. You should just love life for what it is not what you want or scared of being of judged keep on keeping on

  4. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” –Stephan Leighton. What the first part of this quote means is that a lot of people just work because they need money. So when they are working they arent happy. But it means that when you work you should have fun and be happy dont do anything that wont make you happy. What the second part of this quote means that when you fall in love let you past relationships go and know that you are with the right person now and those old relationships dont matter.

    2. Dont let what happened in the past affect who you are today. You have to let things go. You will have bad things in your life and you will have good things in your life. What the last part of the quote means is that dont let people judge you for who you are and all of your friends. If you are having fun with your friends what does it matter what anyone else is saying. Just be you if your friends like who you are then why do u have to change youself for the other people. Life would be a lot better if everyone listened to this. Noone would worry about what they look like and how they are because of the other people. Noone would be judged as a person.

  5. I think the quote “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” by Stephan Leighton means to live life to the fullest and do not care about what other people think. I think it also means to not stress and worry about the future or other worries. It also means to just go crazy and do what you want and not worry about a thing in the world. An example of this quote being is used is usually at places like parties bars and other places like parties and bars. Another good example of the quote being used is to not stress out about your bills and what comes next it is taking one step of a time kind of thing. Another example of this quote is that if your a worker and have a family and all you do is work your not going to have any time for your family and your just going to over work your self so make time for yourself and do not worry so much. Another example is lets say you where in a bad relation ship it also means to try to get over it like it never happened and move on and try to have fun and live your life. A final example is you are having financial issues and all you do is worry about them and not fix them your just going to end up putting yourself more in a whole then you already are in. I can relate this quote to my life because I used to be a nervous wreck and sometimes still am. I used to worry over anything until I finally grew out of it and started viewing life kind of in the way of that quote.

    1. I agree with your response on the quote Nick. I believe that you should live your life to the fullest because you only have one shot. I agree that we shouldn’t care what other people think of us unless you think their advice will help. Another thing I agree with is not to stress about your future too much. Stress affects us in the way we think and act and we miss out on what is right in front of us. To truly be happy you need to be yourself and not let anyone else define who you are. I like all of your examples. They were clear, to understand, and relatable to all of us. I can understand your nervousness about things and I am so glad you have come out of that “zone”. Great job!

  6. “Work like you don’t need the money. Love like you’ve never been hurt. Dance like nausea of my shyness. Butboby’s watching.” Stephan Leighton is created with this quote, and I have heard many variations of these words. “Work like you don’t need the money” encourages us to find our passion and make it our life’s work .When you are doing work that you love time goes by very quickly and getting paid to do it is a real bonus. On the other hand, if you are working at a job you hate, it must feel like being in prison and no amount of money seems like enough. When I am doing things I love, time goes by very quickly and there is a feeling of satisfaction “Love like you’ve never been hurt” tells us to approach each relationship with openness and honesty. Bringing old hurts into new relationships is unfair to you and the person, yet many of us do this. Another thing many people do is shut people out for fear of being hurt. I think the quote encourages us to give people a chance rather than prejudging them based on a bad experience. I don’t have much experience in this rea, but I do understand what Leighton is trying to say. Dance like nobody’s watching means that we should go about our lives without worrying what others will think. I don’t think you can every be truly happy if you are living to please others and denying who you really are. This part of the quote speaks to me the most as I am often reluctant to “let go” because of my shyness. But I fell I like I’ve been progressing with this over the years. If everyone in the world lived according to this quote things would look a bit different. People we encounter doing their jobs would be giving it their all because it is something they love doing. Relationships would progress a lot faster because we would give each other more of a chance and worry less about getting hurt or the things we experienced in other relationships. I also think that people would be easier to get to know because they would be easier to get to know because they would behave more honestly if they were not pretending to be someone they think others might like. This kind of world is a bit impossible to imagine since it is so different from the way things are now. But it would be an amazing time to experience.

  7. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” was said by Stephen Leighton. This quote means that whenever you are doing something to find something at the end, you shouldn't think about what you're getting at the end. You should try your best at everything even if there isnt a end result. And if there is a result then you should try as hard as you can even as big the result may be. Personally to me this quote means that you should always do something the best way you can no matter what. For example, in the quote he says “Work like you don't need the money.” You try your hardest at work to get your paycheck because you want money to go shopping, go out to eat, or buy cool things. But if you weren't getting paid would you still try as hard as you are when knowing your getting money. You should be. You should always work as hard as you can .
If everyone would follow this quote everyone would always be happy. Everyone would show they care about things and feel happy to do them. Everyone would be passionate. I think it would change the world if everyone followed this quote. I think this because a lot of people these days don't give there all at things. And it probably makes them feel boring and annoyed inside but if they followed this quote they would probably feel more happy all the time. And everyone happy would help so many problems in the world. Alot of peoples problems everyday is that they aren't happy but with everyone happy it would make everyone else happy, which would lead to a happy place and happy lives. In conclusion, Stephan Leighton once said the quote “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” And that this quote could make the world a better place is people started following it. Thank you all for reading and responding to what i had to say. God bless

  9. Life can be seen through many perspectives, yet which one is the clearest to see through? Life is fogged and blocked with dense, blinding fog that is made up of lies, confusion and deception. We are all searching for a seeing glass that's crystal clear and can shine through the dense fog that we are all trapped in. In the words of Stephan Leighton “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” These words show us life through his eyes almost. The words show us how he shined through the trapping fog. He did not care for what others thought of him. It showed us that he believed that when we are isolated that we are truer to thy own self because we aren't as quiet or as shy. We aren't afraid of the judgmental eyes that might belittle us. We feel safe and comfortable. He also believed that you should never hold the past with you when he said "...love like you've never been hurt.." never hold the hurt and pain that happened in the past into the future. This is because if you the past you'll never move on to the future. Then "Work like you don't need the money" it means that you should like your job not the money. You should never work for greed you should go to work because you want to go to, or else you'll be miserable every time you go and the money will never make up for that. You should do something you love everyday and be yourself and not care about what people think about and you should learn from the past but never hold it against new experiences.

Personally, I can relate to this in many ways. I have learned to focus on myself. I have learned that I should not waste my time on something I don't like and hold on to the past I learned to let go and learned to not care what other people think about me. For example, this year I did all of that. I held my past break up against any future relationship. its broke me and tore me apart to me that was the worst thing that could ever happen. I used to care what people thought about me, I would never dance at homecoming or anything like that. I was too shy around other people and if they would think I was weird and can't dance. I also work at two jobs which I still hate with a passion but now I kinda learned how to make the most out of it. I learned how to stop caring about what people thought of me and I learned to let go of that past relationship and move on to the future.

  10. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” –Stephan Leighton This quote basically means that there is no excuse not to do anything and always try your best. It akways tells me that money and love arent that important. Being happy is. Thoseare never the answer. What you feel inside really matters. Money is great yeah, but it shows that u are a good person if u do work without it

  11. "Work like you don't need money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching" is a direct quote from Stephen Leighton. "Work like you don't need money" means to do something not because of the reward but to do it because it will make you happy in the long run. Not everything in life is about getting something out of it. So work like the money is the last thing that matters to you. Work your job because that's what you believe you're good at and because that's what you find enjoyable.

"Love like you've never been hurt" means to not do something because it may have not worked out for you in the past. Just because it didn't go that well in the past doesn't mean that you should miss out on a good opportunity next time. This isn't to say to not learn from your mistakes. But for example, if you tried food that you hated when you were younger, try it again for you may end up liking it this time. Just because you were hurt in a past relationship doesn't mean you should never love again. So try new things and try old things. You never know what you'll end up liking.

"Dance like nobody's watching" means to not care what other people think of you. Do only what makes you happy as an individual because in the end, it'll be you and you alone. So why worry about what other people think about you? As humans, out time is limited on this planet. So it makes no sense that we would try to impress people that don't matter to us anyway while we're here. We should just be trying to make ourselves happy and stop worrying what others think about us. People are going to judge you no matter what, so you might as well do what makes you happy.

  12. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” by Stephan Leighton. I think this quote mans work as if you don't need it. Love like you haven't been hurt, love like no one has hurt you just put your all into it if you really love this person. dance like nobody's watching, do what you want and don't care what people say think or do. to me personally I think it means that you should work your hardest no matter what. Maybe you don't need the money but someone else does or will one day. Maybe you yourself will need it in the future. You never know what can happen and then when you or someone needs the money you will be right there to help yourself or that person. love like you have never been hurt before, love this person no matter what. Put your all into it if you really love this person. If you get hurt though you should be smart enough to know when to end it. Dance like there is nobody around, I think this means that you should do what you want and not worry about anything people have to say, do, or think.

What do you think like would be like if everyone listened to this? Explain what the world would be like.
I think the world would be crazy and not good or safe. I think this because more people would just not care about what there doing or saying. The world is bad enough as it is so why mess with it?

  13. “Work like you don’t need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” By Stephan Leighton. This quote has a lot of meaning. It means do everything your best don’t try less because you are not getting as much out of it. This relates to me because I need to try harder in my English class. I think because that is the language I grew speaking I know everything about it. But I know this is a lot for me to learn and I need to try harder. Next this quotes means love don’t hate. If someone hurt you in the past don’t let that think the net person will do the same. You never know they might be a very nice person and love you a lot. Last this quote means be yourself. Don’t act like someone else to impress someone. If they don’t like you for who you are then they are not the right person. When someone likes you for you you will know they were the right person. This quote has a lot of meaning to me and I hope it does to you to.

  14. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” by Stephan Leighton.
To break it down into parts , the first part of this quote's meaning is " Work like you don't need the money ". This first part of this quote reminds me of another quote which says , “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Which means pretty much that you should do what you love because if not it will distract you from your life & you wont like your job.
The second part of this quote is , " Love like you've never been hurt." Which means , you should forget the past because it's not vital to your everyday life. Even though it did happen it doesn't define who you are. Your past doesn't define you , just as much as other people don't define you. You should love like you've never been hurt because you can always recover from the things that have happened to you. You shouldn't let your past create your future. There are very great chances you will succeed in life & mature , so you aren't even the same person as you were.
Finally , the last part of this quote is , " Dance like nobody is watching. " This piece of this quote , in my opinion, means that you should live freely & do what you think is right. Even though it could very well be against everyone's opinion. You should be yourself , always because that's the best person you can be. You shouldn't lie about things or pretend to do things to make you fit in. You should always be yourself because it's a good idea.

  16. What I think Stephan Leighton’s quote “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” means is that you should forget what happened in the past and move onto what is happening in the present. This could also mean that if something bad happens to you from somebody, not to trust that person anymore, but if something happens to you and it’s from another person, then you should trust that person or at least give them a good chance to be trusted from you. So that they also get a good impression on you and that it will be healthier for you as well.
What it means to me personally is that you should always give people another chance, even if it’s not there wrongful doing or causing and if its somebody else that they deserve to have a fair chance of not getting what happened to them to the other guy. Another way this also relates to me is that you should also never be afraid of being judged, because if you are it holds you back in life and it decreases some of you’re limitations of fun that you will have. And you won’t be able to live you’re life out to the fullest. So don’t be afraid of being judged because if you are you will not have as much freedom or fun that you should be having usually. And also being self conscious can lower you’re self esteem which wouldn’t be that good.
What I think life would be like if everyone followed by this is that a lot more people would be a lot more happy and less anxious about being stressed. People would have a lot more good times and better experiences in public around friends and with or without friends. I also think that that it would build up people’s personalaities and make people feel more comfortable to not be stressing and just to be having good times! it would be a great learning practice if everybody practiced doing this and it would just over all be better for everyone! Also I think as well that the world will be a lot more of a better place. And that I also think that it would make life a lot more enjoyable and entertainable if everybody followed by this. And that everybody would get along a lot better and not be so nervous or rude to each other, and everyone would be really happy all the time and good to each other!

  17. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching''by stephan Leighton has so much meaning. what I feel like this means is that forget the psst. because the past is the past. all that counts is your future. and what youre going to do to your future from the mistake you made. so those bad mistakes you mad in the past. forget about them and mve on with your life. because the past will keep haunting you if you let it. so think about your future. and don't give crap on what others think of you because live your life with no one opinions the only opinion you should care is yours. because that is what counts more. because if you let others tell you you arebt good enough you will slowly think about it and the you will start beliving it. and I gaurentee you don't want that. you have to prove to everyone that you don't need there opiion. because irts your life and you have choices to make. this is almost like being self conscious. becuaese if you are it wull lose your selesteem and that will motn be good, because who would want that. you should live your life to the max. because time is running out, and you should have intention to becoming the best at something but thst will take time unless you wait for it you have to be. its all up to you. don't follow the path on what others are taking. you take your own path don't follow the crowed because you might mess up. and once you mess up it is hard to come back to what you were before.but that's what obstacles are for. and with those they will help you become stronger then before, it is a challenge and you have to over come those,

  18. “Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching.” a quote by Stephan Leighton. I like this quote because it means it to live each day like its your last. It means to never let anyone change how you want to live, to not crack under peer pressure and to stand up for what you think is right. It means to forgive and move on, to not dwell on the past and never give up on your dreams. It means to do what you love and never let society change you. But overall, it means to be yourself.
This quote reminds me of Titanic, even though Jack was poor and Rose was rich, they didn't conform for society. Rose didn't give in when her mother scolded her and told her that it wasn't right, because Rose loved him. She didn't let anyone else affect her decisions, no matter what she was told.
This quote also reminds me of Romeo and Juliet. In the story the two families were mortal enemies. Everyone in the families were always fighting with each other about trivial things. Juliet went against her families wishes and Romeo went against his friends and family. They loved each other and didn't let anyone change their actions or feelings. In the end they killed them selves, because they didn't want to live without each other, and if you ask me that devotion.
