A wise person, whose name is not listed in the entry of this blog, once said, “We accept the love we think we deserve.” This could mean many different things to many different people. What I think it means is we do the things we think are the right things. This quote is talking about morals. Everybody has their own morals. Morals are the things that you think are right and wrong. You could think that robbing banks is a good thing. That is your moral. You could also think that smoking is a good thing for you. It all comes down to your morals. Whatever you think is the right decision is all based on your morals. For example, here is a life situation. Your friend tells you about these illegal things that you really don’t want to do. You and your friend are doing some illegal things out in public. The cops come by and you both start running. Your friend gets away, but you get caught. Do you take the blame for your friend, or do you tell the cops it was him? Based on my morals, I would not take the blame for my friend and rat him out. He’s the one that wanted to do it, not me. Some others will think that is the wrong thing to do, but to me it is the right thing. That is what I think the person that made this quote is trying to explain.
ReplyDeleteIf I could relate this quote to a book or movie, I would relate it to a movie that I saw which name I forgot. How it went was there were these two kids, around 9 or 10 years old. They were playing out in the snow on a snowy January afternoon. They were trying to see how many cars they could hit passing by with snowballs. One kid takes this giant snow boulder and throws it up into the air. It ends up hitting the car and breaking the windshield. The man gets out of the car and chases after the two kids. The kid that threw the snowball got away, but the innocent kid got caught. He went by his morals and took the blame for his friend. He got in a lot of trouble, but he did what he thought was the right thing. That is what I think the quote means.
I agree with you 100% that a persons judgement and what they feel has a lot to do with things. Where people do what they think is right and forget about the consequences. Its just the way we were made.

Like we all have our pasts, presents and futures and we choose what we are good at and what we feel is right to do basically saying that we deserve it. But yet again everyone has their own stress level or as much as they can take before they are over worked. Live up to the expectations you pick not what others pick. There is a path for everyone there are just different amounts of stress put into things and it sways their opinion. Cause not all people are high level or think that they are on top.
ReplyDeleteIf i could relate this quote to a movie i would relate this to soul surfer. This sixteen year old girl named bethany worked her hardest after getting her arm bitten off by a shark. She stuck to what she loved which was surfing. This movie is such an inspiration to what makes people think that take risks and go the way you wanna go and think you deserve. That is what I think the quote means.
I agree I feel that when we make a decision we feel like we deserve it. Like when you are in a relationship we pick the person who it is and feel we deserve whatever we get from that other person
DeleteI think this means that some people think they have fallen in love but there mind and heart were lying to them and they say they love them and get all romantic and when they break up the person gets all depressed and feels so alone. or some people get into such a great relation ship that they think they deserve but they dont because they are just a bad person and some one else could be happy like they are but there not there stuck in there bedroom dreaming of a relation ship they didnt have and the othere person is just a strait up jerk and has a partner when the othere person stuck in there room is the nicest person you could ever meat but people dont like them because there diffrent and stand out and do better in school and all they want is to be loved wile the person in the relation ship is an average joe who is nice looking good at sports but is dumber then a rock and dosnt really treat there partner with respect and dosnt really listen to them or pay any mind to them but the person stuck in there room is ready to commit there life to someone and do anything for there partner and be there when they are needed no matter what. Thats what i dont understand about girls they go for the really good looking guys but there the ones that beat there girlfriends or are just a complete jerk who cares nothing about the girl who is one of the most beautiful and nicest girls in the world and they put them selves in a relation ship that is completley the wrong one for them when there perfect guy has been crushing on them for god knows how long and hes been forced to watch her make these bad dessisions and she dosnt even know he exist. sometimes the right person could be the least expected somtimes love can hurt and sometimes it can feel so good but dont get all deprest if your partner breaks up with you in highschool because its been prooven that less then one percent of highschool relationships last so its what ever move on with your life that will make the sting go away.

DeleteSomeone once said, “We accept the love we think we deserve.” This quote could mean many different things to people. Like that we think we have fallen in love but we actually haven’t. But to mean this quote means that how we view ourselves is what love we should get. For example if a girl is like in love with herself and believes that she is the most important person who ever step foot on this earth, she is going to try and get the hot guy who is just as sallow. But say there is a girl who doesn’t find herself important or worthy of anything, she is going to go for the guy who treats her like that. When someone good actually comes along who is actually in love with this girl and cares about her, she would most likely not even view him as someone she would date. In her mind she would believe that some jerk is the best she can do and accepts that love instead of looking at the nice guy because she doesn’t view herself in a positive way but rather in a more negative way. And I know people do this all the time. I remember a movie I watched called The Perks of Being a Wallflower and there was this boy who saw this girl and madly feel in love with her. The boy never tells her and he just watches after she dates jerk after jerk. The boy is a freshman and the girl is a senior but they are friends. But friends is all she views him as because he is a nice quite boy. And she was a freshman the upper class men would get her drunk and do things to her. After that she never viewed herself as someone who would date someone who actually cared for her. She just dated jerk after jerk. She got cheated on lied to and more but never went for anything more. She accepted that love cause she thought she didn’t deserve anymore. Also her fathers friend raped her when she was a little girl so that also made her view herself less and less. And even though this boy was madly in love with her and would literally go to the ends of the earth to be just in the same room as her, the girl couldn’t see until it was too late.
ReplyDeleteTo accept the love you think you deserve, you're stable enough to not try harder. I think this means that people give in too easy and should push themselves to not settle for less, because if you put your mind to something, you can achieve any goal. Although most people have probably given up on a goal they've strove for, it feels good when you accomplish something that you've had a desire to do. Instead of accepting something that you "think", you should accept something that you're 100% positive about. Personally, this quote can relate to me because even though I work for my goals and success, I've accepted something because I thought it was right, but it wasn't. For example, seeing a beautiful girl that deserves the world go after a boy that isn't worth it, you wonder what about the guy that they're settling for? It all comes down to having self confidence and that you should always think positive about yourself and to try and make the best decisions. But with low self esteem, you'll continue to let people walk all over you, thinking you can't do any better. But in reality, that's where you deserve the world and someone that will treat you right.

Juliet start's off the book as a genuine, considerate girl that didn't want love or affection at the age of 13. But, Romeo was the complete opposite of her. He wanted love as fast as he could get it. A wife is what he wished for all day and all night. But during the beginning of Act 2, Juliet's character in the play changes drastically. She falls in love with Romeo and instantly wants to be married to him, but still keeping the rules in which she wants him to love her and not use her. Juliet thought that the she deserved the love she accepted, but at the end, they both end up killing themselves. So, was the love they both admired really worth it? If Juliet stuck to her values and morals, she wouldn't have chosen Romeo, and the lessons that were taught in the book would be opposite.People shouldn't always give into what they think so easily, dedication always leads to success if you put your mind in the right matter. You deserve only what's best for you, but only you will know what's best for you.
What the quote means that you must love yourself. If you don't love yourself and you don't care about life , your not going to be SHIZNIT This quote can relate to me because even though I work for my goals and success, I've accepted something because I thought it was right, but it wasn't. DeleteThe quote "we accept the love we think we deserve" means that you accept the love you get. Sometimes people think they deserve too much love and that's the problem. I personally think that I deserve a lot of love. Also I think the quote means that you should acknowledge the love you get. Personally this quote means to me that you should show love to get some back. The world should just be a big love world. The fault in our stars is an good example of this quote. The characters are good loving people who love each other for who they really are
ReplyDelete"We accept the love we think we deserve" I think this quote means one of many things. One thing it could possibly mean is that you don't compromise and go for the first few guys you meet. If you think you deserve better you wait and not act out of desperation to be in love. The ones who are really high quality matched won't just fall in our laps and will need awareness and patience. If we don't think we deserve them we will not show the patience. If we feel we deserve them we will be confident and steady and wait for them and not fill that empty feeling space with wasted energy spent on others. If you think about it, it seems as if good guys ruin their lives running after horrible girls and nice girls often label the entire male specie as jerks after having been mistreated by an actual one. Yet it's not uncommon to find people willingly enter or continue in what's called a "bad relationship". Clearly if you are in that position you should get out of it and not worry about having to be in a relationship. Just remember to be patient.

I think it means that however we look at ourselves is how good or bad the people we surround ourselves with are. If you think youre a bad person youre gonna surround yourself with bad people even though you might not be a bad person, you just think you are. I also think this has a lot to do with relationships. A lot of people date people who are really mean to them or treat them really badly. This quote says that this is because if someone looks down on themself a lot, theyre not going to realize if theyre in a bad relationship. since they think they are a bad person they will probably think that they deserve to be treated badly. A lot of really great people think they are bad people or look down on themselves all of the time. I think if you have really low self esteem youre not going to think you deserve a really great person to be in a relationship with so youre going to end up in a bad relationship and you might get treated really badly. Its important to pay attention to how other people are treating you and make sure theyre not abusing you because it could put you in a really bad position. I can relate this quote to The Perks of Being a Wallflower because in the movie the girl goes through a lot of boyfriends and they all treat her badly. She says that in her freshman year the seniors would get her drunk and they would basically use her, and she thinks she was a bad person because of it. Because she thinks not good of herself she didnt accept the love she actually deserved, she accepted the love she thought she deserved. The main character's sister was in a similar situation. She had a boyfriend who hit her when he got mad at her but she didnt say anything about it because she thought she deserved it because she thought she was provoking him. She didnt think it was his fault because she thought thats what she deserved so she accepted it. I think this quote is very important because it teaches us to pay attention to our relationships and make sure we arent being treated badly just because we think we deserve it.

To me, this quote means that if we think we deserve something we will keep pushing and trying until we get what we deserve. For example, if I want money, I will work for that money. Not everything will be handed down to you. If someone thinks that they are weak, then they wont get what they want because they don’t believe in themselves. If you think and know youre a strong individual, you will see progress in what you get and how much hard work pays off. What you get depends on yourself and your own actions and thoughts. If you think you are less you are going to get less, if you think you deserve more you will get more as long as you work for what you want. You will not take anything but what you truly deserve. To me, this quote relates to me because if I know that I deserve something I will work as hard as I can for it and expect nothing less and nothing more than I deserve. I can relate this to a movie called 8 Mile. Eminem wanted to just grow up and get out of the ghetto. He believed that him and his family deserved much better. Therefor, He went out and rapped his thoughts. He expressed his feelings through music and now he is a millionaire. He has been through a lot but he worked for what he wanted and it all worked out for him. He has many fans who desire the music he writes and expresses because he has true music that comes with a meaning when you hear it. Most people can relate to him on some type of level.
