Henry Ford once said:
"Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently."
*That do you think this quote means?
*How does it relate to an experience in your own life?
Henry Ford once said, ‘’Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again this time more intelligently’’. I believe that Henry Ford is a very intellectual man. He made the first car that became a big brand name today! But, on a different note, I think this quote means that if you fail its ok, you can get up and go for it again because every try is a new try and you never know what the outcome of this try will be, if you just think and do it different this time. This quote relates to myself and people all around the world. One way it relates to me is because when I was younger I tried out for soccer. I didn’t fail, but I wasn’t good AT ALL, so I decided to just automatically quit. I then vowed never to play any sports again because I thought I stunk at everything especially things like sports. My mom and dad talked to me about not quitting and trying something else. This time instead of just telling them I will never do sports, I thought a little and realized I did want to try something different, and that’s when I fell in love with softball! Even though I didn’t fail, I tried again but thought more this try, and it ended well in my favor! So, this quote can mean a lot even though some people don’t get it. In conclusion, I believe this quote means that every try is a new try, and try again, but this time do a little more thinking and maybe this tries outcome will be different.
ReplyDeleteHenry Ford once said, ‘’Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again this time more intelligently." henry ford was the man who created the first automobile. the car company today "ford." is named after the very famous, henry ford. the wise words of henry ford relate to me. baseball is a game built for failure. anyone who plays or even watches the game of baseball would know. as a hitter its rare that you will succeed. all of the times you fail will make you better and better at hitting. if you succeed any where from 3 to 10 out of 10 times in baseball you are considered successful. everyone who fails in baseball learns something for the next opportunity. for example I was coming off a bad season in 7th grade and all offseason worked hard to improve all of my mistakes the year before and that made me not only a better hitter but a better player overall. I think what henry ford was trying to get a crossed is that he failed so many times as an inventor. the automobile didn't just work over night, it took time and dedication just to get the blue prints right and even longer to get the automobile to fun a operate. Over-all I think this quote relates to everyone in some way. These wise words by henry ford are great words to live by. You have to fail to succeed.
ReplyDeletecolin you explained this quote great. I liked when you talked about baseball because now you're really good. you took time to practice and realized you could do better. I love your blogs I think you do a great job at explaining, you really understand what to say all the time. Even when you explain how it relates to you.
DeleteHenry Ford once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." I believe this quote means to never give up. If you fail, learn from your mistakes and try again. Henry Ford is an extremely intelligent man, and said everything you need in life in one sentence. To never give up is a very big deal for every single person that walks the Earth. Without mistakes there would be no great inventions, there wouldn't be anything great. Everybody would've stopped trying if there wasn't something called effort, which this quote also relates to. This quote relates to me in many ways. For example, for a while I was homeschooled and had no intentions of going back to school because of how nervous I was. I kept trying, but never really succeeded much because of how nervous I was. After a lot of thinking, I thought of all the mistakes I had made before. I was not being myself to make friends or trying my hardest, which was really messing me up. I kept trying and trying, but never took the time to think about what I was doing wrong. I kept being homeschooled for a while to get myself caught up and ready to go back, and I realized what I was doing wrong the whole time. I was not beginning again, more intelligently, I was doing the same thing repeatedly without even noticing. After I was all caught up and ready to go, realizing everything I'd done wrong; I went back and I'm doing better than ever. This quote relates to everybody's life in at the very least, one way.
ReplyDeletehey Mia, I loved your blog entry this week. I totally agree with your opinion on what the quote means. I also enjoyed how you related the quote to your personal life. I know you went through some hard times in your life, and I know that not everything was easy. However, I am so proud of you, and I'm so happy to see you back in school. I know that explaining how this quote relates to you is a personal topic, and your so brave and strong for opening up a piece of your past. I'm also astatic to hear that your doing "better then ever" in school. I also love that we have a few classes together. I loved your blog entry this week, and I agree with everything you say 100%.
DeleteMia, what a great responce to this weeks blog. m so glad that you had the courage to come back to school! Its great how you related this quote to your life in such a strong way. Also, i agree with what you think this quote means, never give up, believe in yourslef. To add, i so glad that we are friends and that we have classes togther, because you went through is rough and your so open about it and its great that your not afraid , anywayu great job with this blog!!
DeleteMia I think you explain this so well. I honestly agree with your opinion. Also, I like the way you were able to relate this to your life.
DeleteI think its great you came back to school. I don't really know what went wrong but I hope everything goes well with you. Great job with the blog.
“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently,” was once said by Henry Ford. This quote could possibly mean many things to many people. To me, this quote means that you should never give up, even if you do fail. If you do not get it right the first time, there is always more room for improvement. All you would have to do is study more or try a little harder the next time that you try it again. For example, many successful people in the world did not succeed the first time they tried something. They tried it and tried it again they kept getting better and eventually succeeded at what they planned to do. This quote relates to me as well as everyone around me. It relates to me because when I was younger, i was a dancer. At times we would do some pretty challenging routines that were difficult for me to learn. I would try everything that I could but could not seem to get it right. I would ask the other kids in my class and even ask my dance instructor but they told me that i just had to keep practicing and i would eventually get it. As i continued to keep trying my best, my friends and family told me that I was getting much better. After trying over and over again, I finally got the routine! It may have taken a while for me to get it but i did and it turned out that i performed the routine the best at my recital! It only takes practice to become the best that you can be.
ReplyDeleteEmilee I think you explained this quote really well!! Also, I love how you explained yourself on how you practices your but off until you finally got the routine down. Good for you on achieving your goal!!
DeleteHenry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." To me, this quote could means countless things. To me, this quote is an important part of learning. By making mistakes It teaches you what you did wrong, and what you need to do right the next time. I think this quote could also mean that not everything in life is easy and sometimes you need to take a second view to actually see the big picture. By that I mean that it may take a few tries to get something right. My final opinion on what this quote means is that it is the key to success. "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." is a way of life. In order to succeed you need to fail; sometimes failing and learning from your mistakes makes you stronger. the quote "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." by Henry ford relates to me everyday. This quote could relate to school work that I may not understand, or even the littlest things in life. This quote relates to me when I was a baby trying to snap my fingers. I know that learning to snap your fingers isn't the most serious topic to relate this quote to; however its what I think about when I hear this quote. My dad had told me this story not to long ago. When I was a baby my dad said that he snapped his fingers and I was mesmerized. My dad told me that after he walked away I sat behind the couch for hours laying with my hands. My dad told me I sat there for hours trying to make the "snap" sound. Then, after what seemed like forever he heard little snaps! My dad told me that he tells that story to everyone. This quote relates to me and that story from when I was younger because I never give up. I try, practice, and do whatever it takes until I perfect it. My dad told me that I was always like that as a child, and I still am that way today. I am all self taught, from skateboarding to art, to making and reading music, to snapping my fingers! the quote "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." by Henry Forde relates to me because I wouldn't be able t do the things I taught myself or even learn patience, if I didn't make mistakes. This quote can relate to everyone in at least 100 ways; because our mistakes in the past make us who we are and who we will be in the future.
ReplyDeleteHenry Ford once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." I think this quote means that it’s okay to fail. Even Henry himself failed because he's the one that invented the car "ford". You don't always get something on the first try and I'm sure when it came to creating the car it took time. He didn't have something right in the drawing or got the wrong part. He's the best example for this quote, even when it's his owns. That's part of life because without it than everyone would just be the same. Also that when you fail you get a better idea of what you're doing wrong. Some say failure is horrible but in the end they don't realize what they did wrong and changed it. This quote can come into so many different things in life. For example, when I played basketball and it was my first year I wasn't that good. I missed a few times and I didn't get it that much. But as time went on I kept trying and got better. I'm sure even the smartest person failed at something and now they fixed it and got it. This happens in everyone's life from the time they were born to the time they died. People shouldn't be embarrassed when they fail, because it’s a lesson learned. Failure gets you ready for many different things. Also when it comes to school that's a perfect example to fail. Not everyone is perfect, people need to get that in their head before they start judging people. This quote that Henry Forde said is so important and it’s time for people to realize this.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I think it is okay to fail as well and that when you fail it will help you succeed. I think you did a good job relating the quote to your self as well as the world too. over all I agree with you blog.
DeleteA man named Henry Ford once said “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” I think this quote means to never quit and try again. When Henry Ford wrote his quote I think he wanted people to get the message that you should always try and to never put yourself down. Maybe he went through something in his life that made him realize that nobody else should do what he did. I can relate to this quote in many ways, when started competition cheerleading, I didn’t realize how tough it was going to be to beat other teams. My team made it to regionals and what we really wanted was to go to Florida. In order to go to Florida we had to work hard and hit all of our stunts. Well we didn’t do so great and we got 5th place and didn’t make it to Florida. I didn’t ever think after that I would make it to Florida. I gave up because I failed. I was completely wrong about that though, the next year I tried again, and had my mind into all of my stunts and we got first place and move onto Florida. We won and got national champions. So this quote is a great quote and I’m sure that anyone can relate to this like I did. Take a minute and read this wonderful quote because It can help you understand a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job explaining this quote! I'm so happy for you, that you never grew up and did great in the end. Everything works out eventually, right? Anyway, I love the way you related this to yourself, it's extremely convincing and just a great way to explain it in a whole. Good for you! Finding out how great you and your team were at cheer, and making it to Florida! That must've been so excited. This is a great quote and I'm also positive many people could relate to this. Great response!
DeleteA man named Henry Ford once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." I think this quote can definitely mean many things. I believe it means that even when you try something and you fail, that doesn’t mean you should just quit. You see, now that you have failed, you know what not to do. You always learn from your mistakes so now you can try again. This quote can relate to me because when I learned to ride my bike I was 9 and I failed a lot. I fell on my butt a thousand times. Thankfully, I had my dad there to push me to do my best. It was quite a challenge to learn how to ride a bike, but it was all worth it in the end when I finally learned. Today I am an awesome bike rider. Riding also helps me when I’m really stressed out. Another way this quote can relate to me was when I learned how to swim. I was about 10 years old. I know that is really late for someone to learn but I was really scared. My Uncle Dave had taught me how to swim and how to go underwater. Up until I learned, the noodle was my best friend in the pool. My uncle taught me for a long time until I finally learned. Now I’m one of the best swimmers in my family. When you fail, you should always try again, because who knows? It just might turn into something great.

ReplyDelete"Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently" once said Henry Ford. I think this quote means that figuratively speaking, everyone makes mistakes and messes up. In the end, we just have more chances to learn from our mistakes. Now that you know the wrong way, now you can do it the right way in other words. I can relate this to my life because I’ve failed the first time for things many times. Like back then when those shoes ‘Heelys’ came out, every time I used them I fell. I had no idea how to use them and I was mad because it seemed so simple. Eventually I figured out you had to put one foot before the other, and I got it down real fast. I can relate this to the present time because I still make a ton of mistakes. Like just today, I made the mistake of breaking my locker to class schedule I’ve had since the first day and I was late to class. I never usually do that, I usually get my algebra books before lunch since my class is right next to the lunch room and my locker is on the other side of the building but since I got side tracked with my friend I thought it would be no big deal to just get it before class. (lesson learned)
ReplyDeleteKayla, in my opinion, you explained this quote really well. Everyone makes mistakes one time in their life or another. And, I remember those shoes as well! They were kind of tricky in the beginning, well i know they were for me anyways. I like how you continued to practice until you got it. Some people would just give up the first time they tried it. Also, I had the same problem with being late to class in the beginning of the year. Like you, I learned my lesson and didn't do that again. Anyways, great job with this response!
DeleteHenry Ford once that" failure is simply the opportunity to begin, this time more intelligently". What I think this quote means is that you learn from your mistakes. If you mess up, you are more likely to not make the same mistake again. You improve from your mistakes. Then you'll do it but now you know how to do it better. For example Henry Ford himself made mistakes. He is the founder of Ford Moter company. He improved on his ideas and made a big impact on people's lives. Another example are famous soccer players. They are all where they are because they improved from their mistakes. They never give up. I can relate this to an experience in my life time by when I had soccer practice and forgot to check in. Checking in helps the person who has the ball find a way to pass it to someone instead of running away from it. This can help create more plays and a way to score. My coach started yelling at me cause I always ran away from it instead of checking in. Now I always remember to check in. This is how I can relate this quote to an experience in my life time. You can never do anything without making mistakes.
ReplyDelete“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently” Henry Ford once said, leaving us with his wise words to decide on whether we shall begin again or give up in general. I think this quote means that its worth trying again, whether you missed the shot just a bit or you feel if you try again the whole world would crash and burn. I feel like his words are helpful to everyone’s situations. It means to simply not give up after your first try, or your billionth try. It means to keep working at it no matter how much you fail. It means to continue until you succeed. This relates to an experience in my life to when I first learned to skateboard. It took me a very long time to get down tricks. Luckily, I didn’t just give up overall. I continued trying until I finally got them down, no matter how hard they were. Even after trillions of tries, I didn’t give up, the desire for me to learn them was impossible to look past. I kept trying different techniques, working at it more and more until eventually I learned it so well I could do it blindfolded. Henry Ford should teach more people about this quote, because instead of giving up, things can take a turn and you could end up a professional. Henry didn’t give up, neither did Eminem, Stephen King, Hazel Grace, Peter Parker or Alex Gaskarth. No matter what, everyone should keep trying. Giving up shouldn’t be an option.
ReplyDeleteDevyn, I think you explained the quote very well. It was well thought out, great job. I definitely agree with you with how you said that you should never stop trying even if you miss by a tiny bit. When you miss by a small amount, it would usually mean that there are only one two things you have to tweak. Once the mistakes you made have been fixed, you are able to get two your goal. Bottom line, you should never give up, even when something seems impossible. I like how you kept trying when you learned how to skate. Great thoughts on the quote, well done.
DeleteHenry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." This quote has a strong and powerful meaning to it. I think this quote means to never give up, and if you mess up, get back up and try again. Have you ever heard that you learn from your mistakes? It's true. It's actually good to make mistakes because then you realize what is wrong and what you shouldn't do. As long as you don't keep on making the same mistake over and over again, you'll eventually succeed. This quote does relate to my personal life as well as everyone else's. For example, when I was a kid I wanted to throw a perfect spiral in football. I messed up many many times and I got frustrated. I had temper tantrums and all that kid stuff, but when I finally tired one more time, I got it. I was so proud and I them learned that you learn from the mistakes you make. This quote by Henry Ford also related to the rest of the world around us. Take riding a bike for example. You get on the bike, peddle and fall. Do you stop and just give up. Do you just forget about it and never try again? NO!! This means it takes practice to get it right. Henry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently."
ReplyDeleteHenry Ford once said "failure is simply the opportunity to begin again this time more intelligently." This quote means to me is when you fail something just try again. It can take you awhile to succeed but as long as your trying that's all that matters. The more practice you do most likely you will succeed. Don't give up if you fail, just do it again because you already know what you did wrong just fix that mistake. You won't succeed everything but atleast try to do your best to achieve your goal. This relates to my own life because when I was younger I cheered but I failed at it because I didn't understand the cheers. My coach and mom seen that I was struggling and they decided to help me. They helped me by practicing with me more. My mom would help me when I'm home and my coach would help me when I was at practice. I've started to understand the cheers and I got better at it. At the football games I barely messed up. All the practice helped me get better at it and u didn't give because I wanted to succeed my goal. When I succeeded my goal I was so proud if myself that day I was so happy I didn't know what to do. Later that night my parents took me out to eat because they were proud I didn't give up.
ReplyDeleteVictoria this is an awesome story. keep going and you will achieve greatness.
DeleteHenry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." This qoute mean try again just a littoe smarter this time. The purpose of failing is to learn. If you went thoughout your life always winning and always looking good and having all the perfect things happening to you, then what would be the purpose to that. After failinh comes the important part, Trying again. Everytime you fail you learn something new. Everytime you fail you see the error in your ways. When you fail you learn from it, you gain new knowledge and is one step closer to being successful. There was a time when i keot failing on an experiment. I didnt know what to do and I continued to fail but insyead if giving up I kept trying. Finally my experiment was successful and I learned many new things. Henry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.". Once you fail, it isnt over , just simply try again and this time use the knowledge you learned.
ReplyDeleteHenry Ford once said" Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." In my opinion this quote means that if you get knocked down, get back up and keep fighting. Just because you came to a bump in the road doesn’t mean you should just stop. Get back up, but don’t just keep going look back at what you did wrong, and analyze it. And then when there is another bump in the road that looks exactly the same you know how to deal with this.
ReplyDeleteThis relates to my life be cause in wrestling you get beat up a lot before you start to get good. When you are wrestling you have to know that the other person is going to do. That’s why when you wrestle you have to learn what the person is going to do on the fly. So when you wrestle and you get beat up with the one move that the person dose, you learn that and then you learn how to defend that. Then you can beat the person or even use there own move against them. Also this relates to my life because when I first played soccer I wasn’t good but I learned from other peoples play and I achieved great ness.
