Henry Ford once said:
"Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently."
*That do you think this quote means?
*How does it relate to an experience in your own life?
Henry Ford once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." I think this quote means that if you fail at something, then you try again and your more intelligent then before because you know what you did wrong. For example, if you failed a math quiz, you could retake the quiz and learn from your mistakes. That means your more intelligent because you could get better at it and succeed the next time, but it doesn't matter if you failed the first time because you could always try again! You could also feel proud of yourself too. That's what I think this quote means.
ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to a experience in my life. When I first started playing video games when I was younger, I didn't quite understand how to do it. But when I played it everyday, I kept getting better at it and I got the hang of it. So even though i failed the first couple of times, I still had a opportunity to do it again. Another experience is that when I was playing a arcade game for the first time, I wasn't really good at it, but when I kept playing it more I got a lot better at it. You know what they say, "practice makes perfect!" That is a experience in my life that relates to this quote.
I agree on how you said that it is about how if you make a mistake and fail that now your more intelligent and now know more from your mistakes and that you can always retry and also how you had connected another quote practice makes perfect! with this too because your completely right. Good blog!
DeleteHenry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." I think that this quote means that you shouldn't
ReplyDeletegive up when you make a mistake. That when you make your mistake you can just start all over again but can correct your mistakes because you know what you did wrong and then maybe you'll succeed at what you were trying to do.
This can relate to me on almost everything. In school it can help me with grades. If I don't study for a test and fail, then I know that ill need to study fort next one cause I learned from my mistake. Another example is field hockey. There are many stick skill you need to know and use when playing, so if while I'm playing I mess up I can always just find out what I did wrong and work on that skill and fix. Then in a game I can use that skill and no bring the ball to the other teams stick. Anytime you make a mistake this quote should always be in the back of your head cause the really failure is the person who gives up, not the person who makes a mistake, but keeps trying. I honestly think that this is a great quote cause anyone can apply this to themselves.
I completely agree with your response. This is because it's true, you shouldn't give up on your mistakes. If you do you will be proud of yourself for succeeding. If you do you will end up not succeeding in the thing you failed. So in conclusion you are right about always learning from your mistakes. At least I always try to.
DeleteHenry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." I think this quote means that even if you try and you fail, next time you will know more about what your trying to do from your error you had made before and now you know to fix what you had done before but advance it and see if this time it works. For example once i had made a mistake on my hitting stance and mechanics in baseball. I had my feet wrong all the time and swung slanted upwards which cause pop-ups every time i hit which would get me out everytime. I had hit like this for a while and would get on base rarely. I knew i had to do something about it so i decided to learn from my failures and fix up on my errors by talking to my coach (My Dad) and he had taught me to step into the ball when hitting then stepping outward. Not only had he taught me that but he had also taught me to swing level. From this had lead me to hit 3 home-runs which was 2nd in the league that year with home-runs and also my hitting was so well it had gotten me a spot on the all-stars team! So what Henry Ford had meant by "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." is that if you fix up on your failures then sooner or later you will succeed.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with what you are saying. That the next time you'll know more with what you are trying to succeed at. Also I think it's good that you realized your mistake In baseball, keep trying to fix it and you did.
DeleteI agree with you response to Henry Ford's quote. You not being able to hit correctly and going back and trying again only a bit harder, that 100 percent matches with what Henry is trying to say. You not giving up got you a spot on the all star team. Now that's what it means to not give up and keep trying.
DeleteHenry Ford once said "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." what this quote means to me is if you fail one time and try again you can learn from your mistakes. when you fail in something and try it again you do it more intelligently. you have more experience once you've already tried it. for example, if you fail a test and see what you did wrong the next time you take it you more experience and you can fix what you did wrong. once you have failed something, you can see what you did wrong and next time you do it you have more intelligence. something that relates to this quote from my life is surfing. anytime I try a new maneuver and don't get it, the next time I try I know what not to do. anytime I try something new in surfing in 100% of the time going to have to try it again. the next I try it I have more intelligence from when I first tried it. if you keep on failing it is all just apart of learning how to do it better the next time. failure helps you learn how to improve in many ways. failure is how you learn to do something better the next time. last school year I barely did any of my work and failed. last year helped me realize that I need to do better in school. last years failure is already helping me this year.
ReplyDeleteFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." This quote to me means that if you don't succeed at something then the next time around you may not get it done but you did it better than the last time. For example you may be bad at a sport you like the first time you play it but if you practice hard enough you'll do better than before, you may not be the best but you improved.Last school I wasn't that great at math I failed alot of test and quizzes and my grades were just horrible , alot of things i didnt understand like certain equations and there were things i was good at but I stayed after alot with my teacher so I could get better grades and not fail the class.By the end of the year I may have not got amazing grades but improved much more than I thought I can improve and I passed math that year, I also wasn't to great with doing my homework would always go home and just not do my homework and that made me almost fail two classes other than English, that means I could've been held back and I would be in any classes with my friends. But this quote can be applied to simple things like making a sandwich it may come out bad and taste horrible the first time but you learn from your mistakes and try again. All in all this quote means if u don't succeed then learn from your mistakes and try again
ReplyDeleteThe great and intelligent Henry Ford has once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." I think that this quote means that once you fall down you should get right back up and try again. If you don't keep trying then you'll never succeed. It also means that you should learn from your mistakes. If you mess up you should try again with more confidence. Then your mistakes can be fixed. And then if you keep trying maybe even improved.
ReplyDeleteThis intelligent quote relates to me in many ways. One way it relates to me is in field hockey. This is because when I try a new move or play I might mess it up. If I do that just means I get to keep trying until i nail it. It takes a lot of hard work and concentration, but I always manage to get the job done. Sadly there are still many thing I'm still working on but they are getting there. Another way it relates to me is my schoolwork. Every time my grade drops I try ten times harder the next time to get it back up. And I succeed at it too. So in conclusion you should always learn from your mistakes no matter how bad or hard you have to try. Just pick yourself up and keep going.
I agree with you. It is true very true that you should get back up and tried again even though you failed the first time. It is also important to have more confidence so that you could succeed the second time. Ur response is really good.
DeleteHenry Ford once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." This quote could mean many things to many different people. What I think this quote means is that if you fail at something, just try again only this time a little harder. This quote reminds me of another quote. It states, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Which means if you don’t do well the first time, just keep trying. That is what I think the quote means.
ReplyDeleteIf I could relate this to an experience in my own life, I would relate it to a quiz that I just took last week in math. I didn’t work very hard toward the first quiz since it was the first quiz of the year. So the night before I didn’t study. The next day I took the quiz and I had no idea what I was doing. I ended up getting a 76. That brought my grade down really low. So when I found out about the next quiz, I studied as hard as I could. When I took the quiz the next day, I knew what I was doing. I handed in my quiz proudly. Three days later I got my quiz back and it was a 95. That brought up my grade to a 86. I am proud that I studied hard and brought it up.
Henry Ford once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." This quote can mean a lot of different things. To me this quote means that if you do something you can learn from your mistakes. This is a useful quote because if you do something wrong you can learn and tweak what your doing to make it correct. If you do something wrong you have to realize what you do and try to figure out how to correct yourself in what you did wrong at first. If I had to relate this to my life it would have to be in baseball. On the field if you do something wrong at the first play you have to know what you did wrong and fix it quick because in baseball if your having a bad game the ball will usually get hit to you and you got to tweak what you did and remember how to do that play. If it is fielding the ball clean and setting your feet to make the throw or even when you are just catching the ball. You got to fix your mistakes or throughout the game it will never get better. If you can't do the job you have there is always more people ready to take your position. They will be happy to steal or spot out on the field. That's what I feel the quote means and how it relates to my life.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I think it is okay to fail as well and that when you fail it will help you succeed. I think you did a good job relating the quote to your self as well as the world too. over all I agree with you blog.
DeleteHenry Ford once said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." This quote means to me that you can learn from your mistakes. Once you make a mistake its now giving you a chance to no make that same mistake the next time. When you fail in something and try it again you do it more intelligently. You have more experience once you've already tried it. I think that this quote also means that you shouldn't
ReplyDeletegive up when you make a mistake. For ensample , if u fail a test you can then learn from the answers you got wrong and next time you wont make that same mistake. This quote can relate to my life a lot. This relates to me when I play football. We practice plays so we don't mess up during games. Its okay if I mess up during practice because if we mess up our coach's can teach us how to do it right. So when I do I have more intelligence next play and then I don't mess up. That's what I feel the quote means and how it relates to my life.
