I think that this quote "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it'll spend its whole life believing that it is stupid" written by Albert Einstein means that different people have different qualities and that not everyone is perfect so you can't go out of your way to judge someone. I also think that this quote means that you just have to stand out from everyone else without making yourself and other people look bad do what makes you happy and what makes you different don't be the same as everyone else and be similar to a different person, be you.
ReplyDeleteMy personal experience with this quote is when I started playing basketball in the 3rd grade, I wasn't very good but I wasn't terrible. Kids used to ask me why I even came and tried playing and why I should even step on the court. Kids would get mad when I messed up or did something wrong, but somehow it was always my fault no matter what I did. Once they started doing this, this only pushed me to play more work harder and become a better player than I already was. I wanted to push myself to my potential and that's what I did. I worked out everyday on since then 24/7 had a ball in my hand. Eat with a ball, sleep with a ball and breath with a ball in my hand at all times. I couldn't let go of it because someday I know I would want to be the best at what I do and I just have to continue onto that path and keep setting goals for myself. I need to do everything I can to get to the level I want to be at, it's not like you wake up one morning and decide oh I want to play in the NBA. No you have to be dedicated to your profession and do everything you can at your fullest potential. This is why I am going to continue and elevate my game at St Benedict's Preparatory School next school year. I just want to be able to say I made it and I want to do everything I can for my family one day because I have a ball and a dream and no one is stopping me from achieving it. Thank you.
i somewhat agree with you on this. when you said not everyone has the same qaulities i agree with that because not everyoine does have the same eqaulities. then there where i dont agree with you. when you say that you just have to stand out from everyone else. i dont think he was actually trying to say that but i would say your on the right track. good job bye the way.

This quote means that people have their own way of doing different things as other people. It also could mean that if you judge someone by doing the same thing you try to do a different way they would think that they were doing it wrong and they would not want to go again and do it. This also means to not disrespect someone because of something they do or say. The quote that was stated is very important to me and many other people in the world.
ReplyDeleteThis quote personally means that people should not judge others on how they look or feel or even what they do because everyone is unique in their own different way. Also I think it means that people have different opinions on certain things than others so we shouldn't judge them by what they do. The one quote I think fits this is "You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover" I think this quote fits because you have to be living that persons life to know what's going through their mind and why they do the certain things they did at that moment. This personally works itself into my life by when I was younger I used to go with the flow and be apart of the crowd instead of be myself and be an individual. I also used to just do what others did so no one saw who I actually was because I would just follow other people and I wouldn't be me. The day I showed them how different I was they all either left me or stayed because they didn't care about what others thought. All my life until that day I would be judged by others on what I did and said never on who I truely was. This quote always incorporates itself into many people's lives such as my life.

I say this because I do stuff in different ways then others that can lead to an argument or put down. I say this because I feel like we all can relate to it in some way. For example today in our society we judge everyone from what they can’t do then rather what they can do. An example of that would be like if you are one of the slowest test takers in our class and everyone would call u stupid and make fun of you, but what they don’t know is that u score the best out of the whole class. A quote that can also relate with Albert’s quote is “don’t judge a book by its cover,” which I also think is a very intriguing quote just like Albert Einstein’s quote. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it’ll spend its whole life believing that it is stupid,” because it relates to our society. Even I can relate to his quote. This is because I experience people judging me by my cover instead of judging by what’s inside. A quote that I think can relate to what I am saying that by Kanye and goes like “there will always be someone stronger, smarter, and better looking than you but they will never be you.” I learn this when I started high school, this was because I always thought that I would never get far in life because I would here and see that happened to everyone around me . However, I told myself I can do anything I set my mind to and to not listen to what people who would judge me from my “cover” would say. And it has been the best time of my life I am getting high honors, more friends and getting an early start into the working aspect of my life with my so called “job.” That is how I can relate to Albert Einstein’s quote "Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it’ll spend its whole life believing that it is stupid.” this was said by a very famous mathmatician. this guys name is albert einstein. i think what albert einstein is trying to say is that everybody is smart and could be smart but if you give non smart people and smart people the same test the smart people are obviously going to pass it. its just like the fish if you give the fish and a monkey the same task such as too climb a tree the monkey is obviously going to complete the task. he saying that not everybody has the same smarts as everybody else. thats why most kids in school have a hard time with there work. some of the kids dont understand the material and some kids do. in the end the teacher gives everyone the same test no matter who knows it or not they are bein g treated equal. which i think is unfair. this qoute can relate to my life because i remeber seeing this picture and albert einstein said this qoute too . i dont qoute remember it but i remeber seeing the picture. the picture had a mokey a fish an elephant and a couple other different animals. then there was a techer and the teacher was saying , who ever climbs the tree completes the task. then thats when i start to think real hard. teachers and other peoiple who teach are trying to have everybody equal. and if the teachers think that everyone is eqaul then they will give the same task to everyone. this is how i feel in school in my math class. there are somethings i dont get and and then there is somethings that i do get. i try my best to keep up with the kids who know everything but the time that happens there comes a test that i have to complete. in the end i dont know all the material and i could possibly fail the test. teachers and other people got to understand that everybody is not equal and that you cant give everyone the same task to complete because not everyone is going to know the how to do the same task.

ReplyDeleteI think this Quote Means that everything isn't for Everybody. Everyone is Different and designed to do something different. Especially When it comes to animals. They all have a special talent and different type of breed.. But everyone also likes different things.. Each person in this world can't be good at basketball.. Some people are good at skiing , baseball , volleyball , tennis , bowling , football and more. Not everyone can do what someone else can. Personally this quote means that there are things people enjoy that others don't.. There is something made for everyone..

ReplyDeleteWhile I think he is correct that everyone is smart in some area, I disagree that everyone is a genius. Sure, we all have different skills, but there are definitely people who are more or less intelligent than others. For instance, being adept at filing does not make someone a genius, no matter how much they may want it to. That's not to say less intelligent people don't deserve respect of course, but you do not have to say that everyone is a genius to respect people.
Although with that said, it is difficult to pinpoint exactly who is a genius and who is not since the definition of a genius is debated by scientists. However, it's relatively agreed that to be a genius you must not only be highly intelligent, but highly creative. So, I'd definition a genius as someone who is very knowledgeble, has prodigous critical thinking skills, great intuition, and is extremely creative.

Also, it means if you think a kids stupid on his abilities the kid will spend the rest of his life that he/she is stupid. Some thing that relates to this is in sponge bob Patrick's supposedly parents come and think sponge bobs stupid even though Patrick's the stupid one. His parents thought sponge bob was stupid even though sponge on is intelligent. This relates to me because Im short so kids thought I was stupid and stuff because I'm short. They changed their mind when they realized I was good at math. That is what the quote "Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it’ll spend its whole life believing that it is stupid," is a great quote that makes people think about what type of person they are. I think this quote means if you judge someone on something they can't do they will feel bad about themselves for not being able to. I think that this quote is very inspiring because it shows me the person that I am. I don't judge people for who they are I don't judge people at all. I think it is wrong for someone to judge someone on something period never mind something that they cant do. I think it's wrong that someone is going to take time out of there day to judge someone on something they couldn't do. I get judge all the time and it isn't right but I have to deal with it but it doesn't bother me anymore. I feel that they judge me because I have a crossed eye I don't think its right to judge me on that because I cant help it other then getting surgery that I don't want to get. The quote has showed me who I was and how to see how other people are so judgmental. I wasn't able to see how mean other people can be towards each other until I found out that they were just being very judgmental when I was never like that. I think if everyone would stop judging people on the things they cant and can do the world would be a better place for everyone. I can see that every once in a while u can pick on someone but not to do it over and over again just because your trying to act bigger than them. Therefore, I think the quote," Everybody is a genius. ReplyDeleteWhat this quote means to me is that everyone different so you can judge someone off of their abilities to do stuff. No one is the same. Everyone is a genius in their own way because people can’t do what other people do. Some people are good at sports, some people are good at medical just because some is good at something and your not doesn’t mean that you are stupid. People have different abilities that they can do that others can’t. What this quote means to me personally is that even if you can’t do what others do at least try, because you are different from everyone else in the world.. If someone makes you believe that you are stupid then you have to try not to believe that. You are unique in your own way don’t let some of your abilities not to do stuff make you believe that you stupid or can’t do it. This is what this quote means to me. Not everyone is perfect so be the best that you can be.
